There’s not much to add. See comment #5 of this topic for a detailed picture. Pull back the carpet and the floor vent is held in place by one Phillips plastic fastener near the outflow of the duct. The other end connects up near the underside of the dash and simply pulls out, no fasteners. Pretty straightforward.

I think you still may be disappointed…..the kenwood was muddy and grossly underpowered (probably similar specs to the Rockville). The kicker is clear, crisp and detailed. It doesn’t rattle the rear view loose and isn’t going to compare to boxed and ported subs with a large amplifier, but it will definitely offer low end punch and fill out the missing frequencies of the other speakers. I understand what you’re saying but the kicker blew me away with the sound quality and bang for the buck. The single kicker will outperform both Rockville subs in terms of sound quality and bass response

Yeah, idk maybe I'll go that route...if I didn't use my underseat storage in the rear I would be going for the 3 8in subs under the rear seats or get that JL audio stealthbox that thing sounds nuts in these trucks but I use the center console regularly lol but both those options would be more expensive for sure

This is also kinda a dumb question but where did you tap in to hook up the sub...I just saw the hideaway has its own harness and doesn't get connected up like a traditional sub...

I’ll add to this. This is a Rockville 10” underseat sub. It took some modification to the seat (removing the rear bar on the under side of the seat) and removal of the vent in order for it to fit perfectly w/o losing any adjustability to the seat. IMG_4106.jpg
    IMG_4112.jpg

if you keep the rear bar under the passenger seat you’ll lose most of your seat foward/backward adjustability

Please watch this video. CAF puts out pretty awesome content. Decent ferrules are cheap on scAmazon. This video will show how to use them for cleaner looking, better cabling.

All of these ferrule kits you'll find on scAmazon are basically the same product resold under different names:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B23V7ZQJ/

It's work picking one up. Looks like you're running 8awg? I prefer using red and black, but I believe that kit should have 8awg ferrules, maybe only in red and yellow, but w/e. You won't use the crimpers on power/ground, only remote and speaker.

Yea the video goes over everything. I’ll be buying a kit w/o the crimper since the amp’s set screws do the crimping for me.

I have zero complaints. It’s not gonna blow you away but it fills in everything very well and depending on how you set up the amp/music you listen, to it can easily overwhelm the 6.5” speakers. So for around $150 I am very happy with my purchase.

It does come with a harness, but still hooked it up like any other sub. Bought rca adapter and spliced to the sub harness speaker wire (you can tap the trucks harness alternately) to hook up to my aftermarket headset. Still had to run a remote wire and power wire off the battery. Pretty standard.
