No wire cutting on truck wires, only cutting is on the harness they send you. Just have to connect two wires from one part of harness to another part on the harness.
They have a good you tube video on it

The install video shows the factory pink wire needs to be cut for the interrupt wire harness in the kick panel.

That's too bad. The reason nobody purchases the factory remote start is because you have to be standing next to the vehicle for it to work. I learned my lesson on this once.

Which video are you watching? When I installed it on my 2019 CM a couple of months back, I used the ~6 minute video on the same page as the Tundra starter and that doesn't show any truck wire cutting. I used this and everything went fine.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKUKJr_yh9Q&feature=youtu.be
I think there's also a ~19 minute video somewhere else on the site that shows wire cutting. I don't know what this one is for.
If you have any questions, contact them. Their customer service is very good.

I bought the Fortin EVO from Anderson Electronics on ebay that uses the factory fob. I have a 2017 (G-key) and can remote start my truck from at least 100 yards away, or from inside my house. I've never had an issue with the distance.

I ordered one of these a few days ago. Do you remember how long it took to get yours once you placed the order?

That's good it works for you. I think the factory remotes have better range than they used to. My 08' with factory remote start was worthless for me. My 19' has better range, but will not reach my truck from my office window, even though I can clearly see the truck. I have found that I need systems with 3000 ft to 1 mile range to work for my applications.

I have the 12voltsolutions and can start my truck from the second floor of my work with the truck about 6 rows out in the parking lot without needing to be at the window to see the truck.

Is the cutting done because its a 2018? I have a 2016 Tundra and I really want to do this upgrade. I have been going back and forth for the past few months.

How do you like that car app? Does it work really well from you phone? How does the GPS work? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this from the 12volt website. I'm not very handy so I am gonna have to find someone to install it. How much labor do you think this might take? Thanks

Anyone used the flashlogic system on their truck for the remote start and car app. A mobile company installer that works with a couple local dealers quoted me $650 plus tax for their remote start and car app and install. Seems kind of high to me.

App works great so far, gps function tell you where your truck is. Guess it’s a good way of tracking someone using your truck or even if someone where to steal it.

They have a video on how to do it. It’s very simple. Trust me you can do it.

+1 on the fortin evo here with the harness and extended range remotes. No complaints, you will need to program unless you buy from someone who can flash it for you. Think the flash module is $40 or $50

I just pulled the trigger on this from 12v solutions. Ordered the remote starter and car app. I have a 2016 so I’m told it’s a lot easier since it’s all plug and play. Only problem now is that I think I want to order more stuff from 12v LOL. I’m eyeing their 10” sub that is supposedly plug and play with the jbl system.

I received the 12Volt Solutions Remote Starter today for Christmas. The installation was a breeze after following their video. I also survived the install without breaking any of the tabs on the dash pieces.

I have no complaints with their system thus far.

I just bought the Plug and play system with MyCar for my 2019 Tundra from tech12volts. I watched an installation video from 12voltSolution. Is there a difference between the two sellers/solutions? There seem to be 2 web-sites.

I'm just planning ahead for the when I do the install. I don't want to prepare to install one system, only to have a different unit to install.

    Thanks!
