i just have the basic options, all we need is the remote start, the gps was just a free benefit. i just didnt care for the drone mobile cost compare to this company. you would have to talk to a certified installer to see if those options can be used with mycarcontrol

under the change aux app panel you get the following :

icons : trunk, driver/passenger heated seats, defrost, windows down/up, right/left sliding door, aux 1,2,3,4
RS function : trunk release, aux 1,2,3,4 activate

outside of that i dont see anything about 1/2 stage

i have used the old version and it had issues with updating the gps and not connecting at times. the new version seemed to fix alot of the older version issues, but i do get times when it wont connect or update the app, but it only happens about 1-3 times a year, but for the cheaper cost i can live with it.

if you must have 24/7 and complete coverage and 99.99% uptime i would go drone.

but just a side note on drone systems and pretty much any remote start system, make sure they do not have CDMA remote start units as wireless providers will be shutting down those system in the next year or so or sooner.

make sure you get the new drone modules that have LTE in them.

also with drone mobile app, if you lapse your sub, it a $35 fee to turn your app account back on on top of the yearly fee. drone mobile has a new 5yr plan for basic an business now that lowers the cost overall back to what it use to cost before they jacked the pricing a few years ago.

    Monthly Price
    basic -- business
    $5.99/mo -- $11.99/mo

    1-Year Price
    basic -- business
    $59.88 ($4.99/mo) -- $119.88 ($9.99/mo)

    3-Year Price
    basic -- business
    $143.64 ($3.99/mo) -- $287.64 ($7.99/mo)

    5-Year Price
    basic -- business
    $179.40 ($2.99/mo) -- $359.40 ($5.99/mo)

It works fine for me for the week I've been using it. One thing I've not figured out yet though is why it unlocks the doors after a remote start. If I don't remember to lock them back, it's just sitting there vulnerable.

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
I installed a Viper 4806V with DBall bypass. One of the remotes is a 2-way with up to one mile range. It's just LEDs and beeps to let you know that it received the command, nice to know that it actually started when press the button. It's on Amazon for $169 right now.

It's not a PnP, but the DBall bypass does most of the work. Still have to connect the wires at the column and the OBD2, but the rest is handled by the firmware in the DBall. You can get those pre-programmed on eBay.

got quoted $329 for the Compustar 2-way with 3000' range. Is that a good price? I think i'm gonna pull the trigger. Seems like a lot of equipment in the photos. Does that all get mounted under the hood somewhere? Under the steering column??

Hi guys i just installed dc3 compustar with tl5 harness. I have a little bit of a problem. When i try to start truck using factory fob, its cranks but stays cranking. Someone has had this problem before. Not a pro installer. Any help is good. Maybe I programmed it wrong. Thanks

ziebart? I'm bummed it only comes with one fob. They said they could sell me a 2nd two way remote for $70, and that the one way remotes would be much cheaper, but that they couldn't add a one-way remote to a two-way system. Doesn't make sense to me, but i'll settle for the one remote and cross my fingers. Can always replace it down the road if i lose/break it.

on toyota's it has to unlock the vehicle to remote start due to the security of the ecu. after it starts it relocks the vehicle to turn the alarm back on and to engage shutdown mode if you open a door without unlocking the vehicle via oem fob or remote fob.

since the remote start function it outside the oem ecu/security it unlocks the vehicle, takes over control, remote starts under it control and locks the vehicle under its control. when you unlock the vehicle (on a PTS system it releases control when you open the door, thats why it shuts down, on a key system it releases control when you push on the brake to shift it out of park, you may notice that the headlights blink when this happens) the oem system takes over and normal functions work.

on my plat tundra, nothing works until i press on the brake to release the remote start module control (this is evident if you try to push the memory seat setting and nothing moves until you press the brake.

I paid $207 for the unit, with another $120 for install, but I also had them install a second mount for my rear facing camera.
I have the DC3, with the factory fob set up. Though, I was given the option of lock, unlock, lock to start the car.
I had it put in last week, and really like it. Going to be great for the winter, since I can't park in the garage.

I have the one from tech12volts. I really like it. Easy to install. I like that it works with the OEM fob so I don't have an extra one to mess with. I may add the cell phone app at a later date but as of now, I'm very pleased with this product.

I just had the ArcticStart Bolt installed this week at a local garage. $349 installed with 2 remotes and lifetime guarantee from installer. It is simple and gets the job done. 800ft. range. 3 second push and the doors lock and the truck starts. 2 presses unlocks the doors. The remote can be used to lock the doors with 1 push, as well. Very happy the last 3 mornings!4BDE9707-06ED-45F9-A3A9-C3FD460A323C.jpg AC8C5EA9-F22A-4DBD-B133-5011C699CCDA.jpg

I have the fortin evo unit ordered from warmcarnow.com.. same as the kit sold by 12voltsolution and tech12volt. .. not 100% plug n play, still need to tap into couple wires using posi-tap.
Added the 2way remote kit. (1) 1 way and (1) 2way remote plus antenna.
    Works great.

Been 1 yrs now and still works great.

I agree; not sure I want or need the cell phone app. Extremely easy to install if you’re not an idiot like me. Completely plug and play if you buy the tmps harness from 12voltsolutiona so can easily be reverted back to stock
