Remote start subscription?

    There was a discussion on another forum about Tundras and the remote start option. According to that thread, the remote start is a subscription and if you don't pay, they turn off the remote start capability from both the app, and from the key fob. That's the first I've heard of this. Has anyone experienced this?

    I think that's what I gathered from it for the 2022+ models. I think they come with a year+ subscription included. SO as far as not renewing it, hasn't been long enough to find out, but I think that's what happens.

    Thanks, sounds like a good reason to go with an aftermarket system.

    In Canada I think you get up to 3yrs free depending on model. Limited -Platinum gets 3 & below gets 1 maybe? At least either way you get some time to source one, or for consumer outcry to motivate them to modify it so the fob will still do it
