Remote start showing hood is open help

Hi guys I need some help! I have a 2 way compustar remote start alarm and today all suddenly I can’t remote start my truck. My Pro T11 remote showing that my hood is open. But I can’t find any switch in the hood anywhere.

 

Sounds like the hood sensor came loose or what ever it came with to sense the hood is open. Can you go to where it was installed and have them fix it?

 

They are not open due to COVID-19.

 

Hood pins are usually look like this an get pushed down by the hood itself. Look around the edges in the engine bay, usually at the front.

 

Yea I look all over and don’t see any switch pin. Drove my truck just right now to get dinner and came home then try it hood showingclose. Look like only does it when cold. Same thing happen when I try to start this morning it was showing hood open got to work test it again it was close

 

Take a bunch of pics of the sides and front of your engine bay and post them. Let the self isolated help spot the switch.

I can see the latch have a switch

 

They must have used the latch switch. This video shows the connector.

Hi guys! I’m also having the same issue. I have a 2 way compustar remote starter and it is giving me a warning that my hood is open. My car has a hood pin and seems to be functional - no warning on my car. Anyone know what the fix would be? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
