Does anyone know if you can somehow bypass the remote start function that shuts the engine off when you unlock the door. My friend has a Ford that allows you to remote start it and then enter the truck and insert your key and dive way.

Welcome. I was gonna go the toyota route too until I found out about Fortin. The 2 way RF remote is reason alone to go with Fortin.
