It seems as yet another lack of engineering on Toyos part- hmmmmmmm- lets have an app that you must pay $ for to remotely start your truck, it's doesn't provide climate control, it doesn't warm the freezing seats, the truck turns off when you touch the door handle...... So why does Toyo even have remote start? I think the concept there is aS dumb as a rock. Or the consumer who pays these obnoxious morons for crappy, unthoughtful engineering. My buddy's Ram you remote start, jump in & take off, not my Tundra, remote start, touch door handle yup- truck shuts off!

    I have a heated garage.
Not quite. One less cold start for the day. What about after sitting outside at work for 8 hours at 0 degrees?
I let my Remote Connect lapse after my free year. If it worked properly I'd consider paying for it.

I am glad I bought a truck that fits in my garage. When I am at work and we have bad weather I just deal with it. Takes 5 minutes to clear snow off and the truck is running and defrosters are on. I wear hat and gloves so it’s not really that bad. I would probably feel differently if I lived in Maine or Michigan or Canada or Alaska, but the winters here in Colorado are pretty hit or miss (if your in the Denver/Front Range anyway, not the Mountains) and it’s been almost all miss this year so far. So I don’t even use it. Plus I wasn’t going to pay those sons a bitches a subscription fee to remote start my truck, they can burn in hell instead.

In the summer when it’s blazing, I roll all 4 windows and the back window and drive a minute, all the heated air goes out, then roll ‘em, crank on the AC and it’s fine in 5 minutes.

I'm looking into this this at the moment. Dropped my truck off for a full day yesterday so they can look into this auto start warming situation along with the fuel line recall issue.

They tested the auto start without an occupant, the result was that of what we all are familiar with.

Then tested the auto start with a service tech sitting inside, the seat warmer did innitiate, but the steering wheel warmer did not. So why the occupant sensor programming code is set to 1 instead of 0 during auto start sequence, probably an engineering fail. They did not have an answer or reasoning as to why the steering wheel warmer did not initiate though, said they would investigate further and get back to me.

I'm not able to recall at the moment of writing this, but do you guys recall if whether the seat warmer heats up during 'dash into the garage, open garage door, start it up, run back into the house & wait' manual start? I do this seldomly since it's only a few steps for me, and do recall the steering wheel wamer always working but can't seem to recall if the seat was ever warm.

I'll post they're results when they come in.
