I am investigating a behind the seat storage solution in '07, and I thought other RC owners would be interested in seeing these images.

I always wondered what’s under there...this is where I plan on putting a stealth box to relive my glory days as an annoying teen. Except this time....a storage box on top.

That's crazy how they put that plastic and sound insulation up there. My reg cab 2004 Tacoma, behind the seat it was bare metal, thing was LOUD with road noise on the highway.

I will add some sound deadening material before I put it back together.

EDIT: I drove around a bit with the panels removed... it is LOUD as hell!

So if you had to tally up how much this swap costs........ I’m hunting for parts slowly and want to know the rough cost.

Following, also wondering if the 6.5' bed from an '18 would be a simple R&R for the 6.5' bed on an '07 RCSB.

Love watching everything the tech does. Also alignment is much better now.

Any of you guys interested in some free window shades? If you want them shipped you’ll be on the hook for shipping cost. All you need is some 1/2” 3M double side and your good to go. You paint should hold up just fine. Removal is easy as well. Fish line, hairdryer, and goo gone.

Man I hate those window shades. They look ugly as hell and scream "I smoke in my car, but its okay because the kids can crack the windows in the back seat"

Did a thing today. Luckily neighbor had a lift. Made things a lot easier. Handles completely different too. Super responsive.

    SOS performance rear drop.

    Nice!

I lowered the rear on my RCSB with SOS kit about a year ago, and I'm loving it.

I saw your suspension photos. I ended up using one hole up from yours. I’m so surprised at how much better it handles

New guy here, just picked up my RCSB that i searched for months for. They don't let you build it in my state, VA, so nobody has them used for sale, had to fly to MA to get one. Love this thing, so fast and looks so good. I can't drive a double cab, too big, wouldn't be able to park it without hitting people.

    Did some upgrades

Replaced leaky water pump as well

The reaction i get from double cab Tundra guys around here are awesome, they all have this "wtf is that" look on their face when we are at a light. It is THAT rare, so cherish yours, hold on to it, and it's gonna fetch you a lot of money later when you decide to sell.

That sounds about right, but i wonder of those numbers, how many were 5.7 4X4, i see a few RCSB pop up 200 miles radius of me but all of them were 4.7, never a 5.7 unless i widened the search to 500 miles.

Does anyone make rock sliders for the RCSB? All the ones i've seen have been custom, and I can't remember where to find those pics anymore. If anyone has any info, please post it, thanks.

Possibly BudBuilt. AFAIK they were offered before the site update.

Applied Cquartz Ceramic coating after a good wash, ironx, clay, compound and polish. Didn’t bother with rock chips, they add character. Job wasn’t perfect because I didn’t want to drop down to a wet sand but for less than 500$ and the experience of how to do this in the future..... I’m 100% satisfied. Shit feels slick and shit. I’ll post more light photos later.

This is how bad the oxidation was before I started. Little to zero gloss and forget seeing yourself in the reflection.
