Think we are getting confused here. This is an 06 V6 which means it's a 4.0. I'm pretty sure the 4.0 v6 is timing chain. You'd need to verify that though. We don't have a lot of people with this engine on the forum.

Yes, 4.0 V6 uses a timing chain. I have the same engine in my 4Runner.

2002 RCLB with 141k, owned by 3 generations of my family (Grandfather > Uncle > Me), not the most powerful (V6 with a whopping 190 HP), but she turns heads and people love her in parades

The manuals are fairly rare. The manuals came with the 6 cylinder, and most trucks got the v8 and an auto. I don't know about collectable though. Yours looks clean!

Rare moment where the FGT is at FTF, my bro in law’s horse farm. Figured worth a couple of photos. Still tons to do with this truck as far as mods, especially wiring.

When did the front driver's quarter panel get repainted? I don't think I ever noticed that before.

My buddy said he had a small hit from that side. Aftermarket headlight and minor dimples in the sheet metal near the battery. May be the reason why I had to have some adjustment and a shim for the bumper too.

my RCLB.. wish I could find a decent cap :help: For all you out there with the aluminum utility caps, are those truck specific? The way our bed tapers toward the rear seems to make cross compatibility an issue. Located in New Jersey.

Whereabouts are you located, geographically? You wouldn't happen to be the guy who's got the WTB threads up on CL in the TN/SC/GA tristate area, would you? Front plate looks like NJ so I'm doubting it, but ...

We do have a RCLB member with his cap up for sale, nice cap too. Reasonable price compared to what cap resale places charge. @Tundra2 is the member. He's in KY.

You may not have enough posts yet to view the Marketplace link, but here's a screencap, and the link here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/leer-8-camper-shell-kentucky.128344/

I have found a couple that would work but its pretty subjective whether it looks good or not too.

I replied to this question over on a FB group too so not going to repeat here what I said there.

    But they are out there!

Edited my original post to include my location (NJ). No, I haven't posted any wanted ads on CL (yet, lol). Thanks for bringing that one to my attention!

FWIW, they were cheaper at launch and less price delta vs going direct to China. It may be worth your time to peruse aliexpress just to price shop.

    Hello RCLB bretheren. I have a ??
    - i purchased 6112's for my 02 v8 4X4 SR5. SHOCK SURPLUS said that Bilstein states they are not recomended for RCLB. Anyone on here running 6112's? Im going to call Bilstein in morning. They also say only 4600 so im not sure if I just made (another) dumb impulse purchase.

    Any info appreciated in advance.

Lllllllooooong Bed FTW. Starting to compile a nice pile of upgrades in my living room:
    Eibach UCA's
    Oem LBJ
    Billy 6112
    Top hats/extended SB Links
    Arb rear locker
So far i have just upgraded headunit and soundsystem with budget BOSS products snd JBL door speakers/tweets. Pretty much all the way caught up on maintenance per manual. Sitting at 57k miles. Truck drives great ( sans horrid brakes) . To me i would only want AC IF * I could keep 8' Bed. Its a truck that cant tow well after all.

I just looked at them, I don’t see any painted options. Where did you see that?

They used to offer paint-matching options. This may have ended recently. I remember seeing the option when they were first announced, before the market got flooded with knockoffs, someone from Teq popped on here and showed some evidence the fulfiller in in China they chose opted to start churning out batches on the side and those were popping up all over Alibaba.
