I ordered it on Thursday, they sent it USPS 2 day and I took delivery on Monday. My FFL here only charged me a $20 transfer fee. I haven't found time to break it in yet, but it has a nice even trigger break and a smooth slide action. The finish is nice and even and I am impressed with the initial quality for the price.

Thanks! I ended up ordering the manta ray! For $440 total I couldn’t resist!

Well the Manta Ray came in

I think the fit and finish are excellent for the price range.

My RIA 9mm 1911 feels a little better in my hand, maybe since I’m not use to the bobtail cut, as well as having the extend mag well.

Think I’ll end up changing the grips on the Tisas and putting in an extended mag release and call it a day!

Absolutely love my RIA 10mm. No regrets on that being my only 1911, for now.

I ran across a pic of my Dan Wesson CBOB. Stainless frame that has been blackened, pins recessed, barrel end blacked and chamfered, front grip checkered, mag well chamfered, internals tuned and polished, grips added and shaved.

Check out Palmetto State Armory. They have a variety of 1911s.

How’s the quality on the Tisa 1911? Heard good stuff about them.

It is really nice for the finish and how it is put together. It doesn't rattle and everything is in its place. I haven't even found the time to go break it in yet.

Sweet, I should have read the entire thread. I may pick one up, maybe chambered in 10 mm, but I don’t want to do away with the traditional 45. Cal.

Kahr dedicated a really nice 1911 for 45.

Saw this and was going to stop in and say I bought a Tisas .45 last year and have been very happy with it. Great trigger and has had no feed issues in about 100rnds or so....Was under $400 before FFL transfer. Hope you guys enjoy yours too!
