New to the Forum and Tundra world. Bought this Tundra for $6100 and it drives well. Tires were shot so the first thing I've done is put 275/60R20 Coopers on. The brakes feel a a bit spongy. The guy I bought it from replaced the front right strut. Said it was "going out". The suspension seems a little rough but I do live in Louisiana where they invest about $13 dollars a year in the roads. But do you guys have any suggestions of what I should check on with such a high mileage Tundra? What might be due for replacement or service? Should i due a brake flush? Etc...

Brakes are critical and if you feel they are spongy then have them checked. Flush and refill with new fluid should do your Tundra good. Maybe clean the brakes with brake cleaner while you are at it. Make sure your pads are good.

If the brakes feel odd, definitely spend a little time on them as mentioned above. Then, I'd work on some basic tuneup things: oil, filter, spark plugs, air filter and see how she feels after that.

Thanks guys. I'll get the brakes checked and see what's up. Deffinantly doing a flush too. What do y'all think about this. So if I'm going over 50 mph or so with or with out cruise control on there's a slight give in the throttle. It fixes it's self but it'll do it again and again. I'll feel it mostly when I'm going up hill or accelerating. The rpms barely move but there is movement. I've asked around but no one seems to have heard of that before.
