Second rear sway bar arrived! Lol. Duplicate shipment error in my favor. Glad it came in today, I leave town on Wednesday.

Hey, I made it to Dallas! Farthest North Dallas to be precise. Look at this spacious 1 car garage I'll get to do the project work in for the next two years....lol. Just getting around to unpacking this thing after we towed it down behind the uhaul a few weeks ago. Hopefully I'll get back to it after a few paychecks. I spent almost $10k securing the townhouse and moving shit down, and I still have to go back for the M3, all the tools in the garage, and everything in the storage shed. I'll be keeping and renting out the house in Aurora, if anyone knows an interested party.

I drove it down, with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. My dad flew up and drove the uhaul with the Lexus in tow. The jeep is my daily driver ATM. Luckily I'm only 7 miles from the DC, and can also work from home. I'm hoping to fly up in May or June to get another 15ft uhaul to grab the rest of my stuff and tow the M3 down. And with any luck I'll have the house rented out by August/September. Working with some property management company on that.

Back at it. Pulled the drivers seat to start reupholstering it.

All of my tools are still in Denver so I got a home tool kit from Lowes to hold me over. Work is supposed to send me up to denver in June to set up a small data center cage for them. Gonna take a few extra days to uhaul another load of stuff down.

Ha! Just looked and saw Harbor freight is only 1.6 miles from me. So I guess I'm picking up some hog ring snips and pliers today

Heh....so I had snips in the new tool bag and found my hog rings and pliers in the steamer bag I brought. Gonna fluff up the foam with the steamer, swap over the seat heating pads, and hopefully have it back in the Lexus later tonight

Heating pad swapped. Letting the foam on the seats air out a little after the steaming before putting the new cover on

Drivers side seat about to go back in. I still need to put the arm rest back on it, but holding off until I can get my bag of poly-fil (and the rest of my stuff) back from CO in June.

    Plus dogs!

Oh and it rains a lot more in Dallas than Denver. Removing and leaving the carpet out. Had a friend help me remove the hardtop last week, my pulley lift system is still installed in the CO garage

Also I put the seat back in the Lexus, and now it won't start, doh! Sounds like a dead starter. I gave up and removed all the carpet from the Jeep. Was pretty simple, only had to remove two seat bolts, and the three nuts holding the subwoofer down. Removed all the factory plug holes in the floor and water all drained right out

Borrowed a friend's battery charger and it started up!

Some pics of all the seats in. Just need to button up a few things, otherwise it's usable!
    • Drivers seat arm rest
    • Front passenger side rear pouch reattachment
    • Rear passenger side upper seat cover zipper broke, need to have that rredone
    • Reattach rear center seat belt. It was locked up before then magically worked after I put the seats back in.
    • Clean or replace all the dirty seat belts.

Drove it around a little today and damn, way more comfortable and quieter than the jeep lol. I need to hurry up and look at what it takes to register this thing down here in TX. From what I've been hearing, sounds like it's a PIA to get an appointment at the DMV here. Have been hearing 6 month waits.. There's a new dmv opening near me soon, I may just wait until thing. But I'd like to start driving the Lexus more, even if the side isn't fixed yet.

...uh none lol. It has a salvage title but I never registered it after the auction. I was waiting until I could apply for the rebuilt title in CO. I'm sure it's a whole different process in TX. And TX is in the process of eliminating yearly safety checks too, starting in 2025
