So I purchased a 2019 in October and it has been plagued by the reboot no matter what work around I tried. As of yesterday I was called by my service manager and provided an update.

EVERYTHING is working as it should. Texts / Favorites / Alerts / ALL

This update was just released (and no I do not have a TSB number yet but I will ask). I was also informed that if the update does not fix your issue an updated radio with new software will be installed (not ApplePlay).

I hope this helps everyone that is dealing with Apple vs Toyota :crapstorm:

I gotta say, this radio has the worst reception of any factory radio I've ever used. Just terrible.

I did this at about 10:45AM and drove the truck all day without any issues. Music and phone working fine. Also jumped in my 2017 and played a couple songs and. No more rebooting on that radio either. Hope this works for you guys too! Good luck!!

I have a 2016 Tundra Platinum and the radio started rebooting this past weekend.

I took the truck to the dealer and they called me to say that it’s a bad stereo, cannot do the software update and the entire unit needs to be replaced. They checked my extended warranty and their going to replace the HD bu they have to order it.

I picked up the truck and on the way home I disconnected my phone / Bluetooth so I could use the phone audio to play it separately and the unit stopped rebooting and the stereo and Nav. works perfectly without the iPhone Bluetooth. I also was able to update the software to version 101092. So it appears that there’s a conflict between the software of my iPhone 11- IOS: 13.3.1 version and the HD unit.

I have since completely removed the phone from the radio and had the phone forget the radio source. I then Paired the phone from the radio and everything went well until it attempted to sync my contacts and while syncing the radio started rebooting. Thought I would share this with the forum in hopes that it might help someone else.
    Good Luck!

Does this affect the 2020's with the new stereo? I haven't had any re-boot issues in my 2020 PRO, but having all kinds of connectivity issues. I'm told it's an Apple problem, not Toyota. Very frustrating...Have to reboot the radio and the phone manually to correct. Doesn't happen all the time.

The dealers have two bulletins to correct this issue; one for the Apple devices, and the other for a head unit software update. Both must be done to correct this issue if you have an apple device. If you have an Android device you must update the software.

The Apple issue was actually corrected via an iOS update through Apple that was released on February 5th.

I found this TSB yesterday. My biggest issue is "difficult hand free operation"...specifically when making/receiving calls. I believe this is the one I need as I confirmed that I have the older software versions currently. I'm unable to download the file. I have an appointment next Tuesday at the dealer to see if they can load.

My concern is it says (Panasonic). Does Panasonic make these head units for JBL? Confused!

Had this TSB software update completed at the dealer on Tuesday this week. Not one single glitch since...Fingers crossed! I had printed this and brought to the dealer. Funny thing...they were not even aware that this TSB is published.
