Yeah won't commit to anything without details. It would have to be done correctly to make it worthwhile. I have been wheeling the truck for 8 years without a diff skid so its not a mandatory item.

    Don't mind being "that Guy"

Also, the RCI skid has pictures of the design on other vehicle so we pretty much know how it would be designed for the tundra. That is totally different than this one

What is the weight? 1/4 steel is gonna be heavy and god knows I don't need anymore weight added. trying to reduce as much as possible.

Yeah that was one of my original concerns. He is willing to do this in 3/16" steel which would put it around 15lbs. He prefers to do production in one size so he's not cutting from multiple sheets.

May not have a big need for a rear diff skid, but will definitely consider this!

Just got off the phone and this is the plan:

    - I should have a CAD drawing with complete specs and fitment by Monday
    - Once we have the CAD drawing then you can decide whether you want to opt in or out. This is our time to fully review the CAD and ask more questions and request updates.
    - If we want to push forward then I will need 10 total commits with the deposit which will start the R&D time.
    - Once R&D is complete they will have a tangible product with pictures complete and installed
    - Once the final numbers are in for the first batch he will start production and shipping to be about a week after that.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to post and ask. Nobody is holding you to anything at this point so lets make sure we get a quality product.

The diff skid on my Tacoma was 1/4" a little heavy but very beefy.

Three points of attachment for good support too. Hoping this one is similar in design and strength.

I'm in. I'd prefer the 1/4" thickness but I the 3/16" is probably good enough for most other people.
