Rear Diff Pinion Seal Leak

    I finally got around to replacing the pinion seal. Things went pretty smooth. At first I didn’t think my 1/2” pneumatic impact was going to get the nut off. Come to find out it’s only rated for 350ft lbs. That helped reassure me that it was torqued properly.

    I didn’t find any noticeable burrs on either the housing or the flange. So I’m not sure why it leaked after the last replacement.

    The seal came pre-greased on the insides and I did put a thin layer of RTV sealant on the outside.

    Hopefully this time it holds! Thanks again @ColoradoTJ and @Dr_Al for the advice!
