I think you guys are missing the OP's intent for better MPGs. I think he's wanting more range rather than trying to save money. So if gearing/headers can net another 20 miles to tank it might be worth the cost.

I second the question about adjusting for larger tires. @JayKay, if you haven't recalibrated your speedometer then you are going significantly faster than it says, and you're also traveling further than your odometer reads as a result.

Your speed and distance increase proportionally to the percentage that your tire size has increased. Using easy numbers if you increase your tire size by 10% then you would be 10% faster. 10 mph on your speedo is actually 11 MPH, 50 MPH on the speedo would be 55 MPH, and so on. The same applied for the odometer, so sticking with these hypothetically 10% larger tires every 100 miles your odometer reads would actually be 110 miles.

This is part of why I would never buy a lifted truck. It has more miles than it's odometer reads, and that affects maintenance schedules and such.

Thank you Azure! Going to the gas station every other day just sucks. 61mph = 70mph nowadays.

I just found out that a Tundra does have a 38 gallon fuel tank.

150 litre? Ain’t no 150 gal tanks for Tundras, unless you put a slip tank in the back.

You sound like a baby, you got your question answered. It would help a tiny bit for mpg but not much. Guess you learned a lesson huh, don’t be mad at everyone here for giving answers you just don’t want to hear

If you read my first post, it said I should’ve gone with 22’s and 37’s. Read first before replying! And those looks like 24’s with 35’s or 26’s with 37’s because my 37’s has a lot more sidewall.

How is asking if you have a 38 gallon tank a dumb uneducated question? You’re just some broke ass troll who could never afford a Tundra. Go back to the Ridgeline Owners Club where you belong.

There are 2 tank options in a Tundra. He was simply asking if you had the larger tank. It's not a dumb question when you've provided no information about your truck.

Is one of the tanks a 38 gallon? Actually there is a 38 gallon tank, I just googled it. But a 38 gallons tank would take the Tundra way farther than 170 miles a tank. Sorry about that! My bad…

Yes. That's the larger tank. I cannot remember if the smaller one is 26 or 28 gallons.

I think mine is a 20 gallon tank because every time I fill up is always roughly 19 gallons. My Tundra is the Platinum.
