I screwed up and had to make two orders. About 5 days apart. Hoping it doesn’t delay too bad! One for the rack and one for the extended brackets (for inside) and maxtraxxxxxxxx stuff.

also realizing I need bike attachments if I pick up a tent this week sooo....

I was thinking about the bike attachments also but I already have a hitch rack so held off to see if I actually needed it or not. Plus it's a lot of money to just carry one bike. I did get the awning brackets. I don't have an awning but it will be interesting to see how high the brackets go which will determine whether to get a 8' awning or a 6' awning.

An didn't notice the extended brackets to mount things on the inside so I guess I will wait to see if I need those later also. The money can add up fast on this stuff but it's a pretty slick rack system. Can't wait until it shows up.

    yesss!!!

yea I’m assuming the bars are thin enough to put my rocky mount brass knuckles on top of. But when the tent comes I won’t have that space anymore. So will need to go with their system. But then it also takes up room from mountain tools and things! Dammit now I need a roof rack.

What about a one up bike carrier in the hitch?

An if you did get their bike carrier kit you could mount things on the inside on that side. Also I think you would have enough room for say an axe or shovel on the bike side.

That’s what I’m hoping for. No hitch. Want to keep it open. Less stuff hanging off the better. Also just realized if I went with the rci racks I gotta keep the wheels separate. Ughhhh. Why must I have two bikes and feel the need to be able to take both all the time.

Yeah and I wish you could just leave the front wheel on. I am sure there is a way to adapt a tray, like in the link, to the RCI rack.

That’s essentially what I have on my kb voodoo crossbars right now. Two of em. I’m sure if you got brackets that went wider off the rack, so the trays had something to grip on, it would work.

but that would extend pretty far and could be dangerous for traffic and parking lots and stuff.

That is essentially just arms plus the rear tire tray. But you would need the bottom of the arms (part wheel rests on) to be longer to hold the rocky mount tray

Ok I see it now from your pic. The locking arm section is pretty wide. It also looks like the locking arm section is the part that attaches to the rack crossbars. This could probably be fabbed up to work but it would be a lot of money to spend to hope it works.
