RCI Off Road Spring 2021 - CLOSED

I ordered the 58" aluminum bed rack and tonneau adapter on 2/10, but those have a 8-10 week wait so I'm only halfway home. I should probably call RCI to check on status

 

Received a shipping notice this afternoon! Website says 6-8 week lead time and they should arrive in under 5.

Heard some crickets today..that’s about it.

 

I installed my yesterday but I removed the back plate. I don’t Offroad so I didn’t need the extra protection. Looks great and the aluminum should hold up to the salty winters.

 

I wonder if the steel version will be two piece - read conflicting info about it being 1 or 2 pieces. It'd be nice if I could just use the front part too as I don't do any hardcore off-roading either - honestly just bought it mostly for better tire clearance and make oil changes easier.

The steel one I got about a month before the GBuy started was 2 pieces. I read they are all 2 pieces now. You could call and confirm though.

 

My aluminum skid arrived yesterday and is a 2-piece design.

Has anyone called to see what place in line they are in? When I called I was just told a few more weeks.

 

I'm just North of RCI and we got 16"-24" of very heavy snow. Alot is still buried because the plow companies are having to use skidsteers and other slow heavy equipment; the pickup plows can't move it. A few of the highways and Interstates around us are starting to slowly open up, so that could cause further delays.

 

Oh fedex had already checked it in at my local delivery station and I live in the desert

 

Id pay for a skid and sliders right now if you considered opening this back up for the stimmy peeps

 

Ordered full steel skids...I figure they will get here eventually

 

40 day turnaround + shipping, steel skid plate engine and tranny, it's on the way.

 

Received my aluminum engine and tranny skid plates last week and installed them on Sunday. Install was fairly easy aside from the bolt right in front of the transfer case. Received my sliders yesterday and started paint prep last night, these sliders are QUALITY. Nice welds and a very stout design, can't wait to install these!

 

You received your items in two different shipments?

 

I drove over to RCI today and picked up my skid. Sliders are another month “or so” out. RCI is closed to pick up only but a nice place..

 

I've been so busy I decided to have mine shipped the 15 or so miles to my house. haha It arrived today. Haven't opened the box yet to look it over but the box is heavy AF.

 

I ordered the sliders during a holiday sale on 12/24 and the skid plates during this group buy

 

I did opposite, skid right after Xmas and sliders during group buy. You get your sliders yet?

Haha, yeah I get that. My house is 9 miles away and I ordered sliders..so I saved $280. The skid I probably coulda just shipped at $17...but I didn’t get to go in with Covid BS so had I known that..

 

Easier than planned...thought I would have to remove my bumper skid but I was able to finagle it with some effort and help from my cooler. Tow hooks going back on was a bit of PITA.

 

really wish i had gone through with this group buy. totally regretting it!!

 

Before looking at your photo, I thought maybe you took a break and used what was in your cooler to help. Haha

I unboxed mine, thats about as far as I've got.

 

As they say "buy once cry once".

 

Haha. I sat it on the cooler and it was easy as shit. I can’t imagine holding it up and threading a bolt solo. It’s pretty heavy but I’m mostly excited I didn’t have to cut my bumper skid to make it happen. It all fits nicely and it’s a 1000% upgrade to the factory setup.
