What is a better choice for engine skid, steel or aluminum? Only light offroading for the most part.

    You just wait
If you are someone who wants a skid plate for just in case, aluminum is great. Now if you are someone who anticipates routinely hitting the skid plate, you'll want steel. myself personally a skid plate is an insurance policy for me. I try my best to read the land but if that one tall rock I don't see pops up That's what my skid plate is for.

You should be fine with either the 58" or 54".

Damn, talk about quick service...ordered skidplate yesterday and showing delivery on Friday.

Not used to this after everyone else has one to two months of either production or shipping delays.

There are different styles of Fumoto valves. RCI sells the F133S, and the S stands for "short" nipple.

Another option is the Femco Compact Drain, and you can even get a quick release drain line for these.

Click on the link. I think it is the attachment to connect your nipple less valve to a drain hose.

No, those are intended to snap onto the short nipples.

Do you have a differential drop installed? If so you need the spacer and longer hardware.

If you don’t have a diff drop you just need the standard hardware.

I ordered my skids in August. Still waiting to install because I did not want to take them off and put them back on after doing my suspension. Ordered my suspension in November and the final parts are set to be here Friday.
    I am quite excited.

I had RCI skid plates on my Expedition and they were great.

Dang, wish I had known this was coming I would not have done what I did until later in the year. I spent the money on a new street bike so may have to wait until the next group buy. Oh well, bump for a good deal on some great products!
