Yeah I finally got this one for my Slash 4x4. The tires are the new belted ones for the Xmaxx. I pulled the Proline beadlocks off. They are still new.

Yep....result of the Kratons moodiness. I'll have to reach out to Arrma and see if the motor distortion noise is normal when the gear mesh is correct. Now I have to order a new pinion and a package of the the e-clips since mine took off. :eek2:

I've gone through 4 or 5 pinion gears just on my 3s rustler vxl. Ripped teeth, stripped teeth, pinon walks, all sorts of fun.

That I am not sure of honestly. I didn't ask my local shops. I received that in an email.

No. I was trying to adjust the mesh because I didn't like the audible tone. I guess it wasn't meshed enough or the motor slid a hair when I was tightening the screws. The distorted sound may be normal for the Kraton.

The pinion on my rustler likes to walk. I finally got tired and drilled a small divot into the motor shaft for the set screw to actually sit into instead of just flat metal. I also put a couple drops of locktite on the shaft to help secure it.

I dunno if the kraton has it but Traxxas has premade little mesh adatpers that let you easily set the mesh to where they recommended for your car. My rustler is noisy as well and makes it sound like the pinion and spur gear are skipping but they are meshed well.

The Kraton uses a crush sleeve between the pinion and motor, a set screw, and an e-clip at the end of the motor shaft. After the gear stripped, I swapped it with the speed pinion, but the e-clip must have been slightly bent so that it wasn't locked in and decided to come off. I'll have to look into the mesh adapters.

How easy are drones to operate? I'm considering one, and start cheap I guess? I follow a MTB rider on TT n FB, he has one that follows him on his rides, like to do this as well and with my railroad job

The Air 3 combo is about $1600. DJI has smaller series drones that are cheaper.

Any of the DJI's are good. It just depends on what you want to spend and what features you want. Best Buy carries that brand so you can get an idea on pricing.

Started out as a Felony but since I have a Corvette in the garage I figured an RC Corvette was appropriate. :D
