Traxxas has come a long way from the Traxxas Hawk I had in highschool. I put a 7 cell and a 17t 540 spinning at 27k rpm in it. It was stupid fast at the trade off of stripping transmission gears in about about 5 runs. My buddy would laugh at me as I bought gears in bulk.

We used to run Christmas lights hooked up to 4aa batteries for headlights and taillights.

I have the Stampede in 4x4 and love because it goes everywhere. But since I have had this RC and come a ways on the last few years. Now I am looking at helicopters and the ARRMA Infraction!! reviews say it goes through rear tires!!!

A friend just purchased an XRT and that thing is awesome!!!!!!

Looked at the O1 it’s a Traxxas car that does 100 but that is asking for trouble unless you have a very smooth long place you can run it!!! :)

Went and did it. I acquired a ARRMA Infraction. I am glad tires are affordable! this thing eats them like candy. After I get done lighting up the rear end and just driving for the speed it’ll get better. I kept it at 75% and this thing is awesome like that. I would be scared at 100% and the speed gear installed,, out of the box it is awesomely fast!!!:)

Clean it up after running it. Yup,,,, it eats tires. RC vehicles have come a long way. The huge parking lot we go to gets very small very quickly running this thing!!

Stiffest rear springs, smallest hardest tires, and probably 3-4 lbs of lead weights on the front.

    A411809B-55E6-4D9A-92B8-8087061F5E76.jpg 2657440E-302E-49B8-A1BF-33FD7CF14053.jpg 36F6F05C-D7DF-405D-835A-7B552F9E0605.jpg
maybe 80 lbs. it wouldnt pull me, but i havent aired up the wagon tires yet. Last pic you can see the burnout. It'll get it going, but it takes a second. Enough of an incline the empty wagon will roll backwards.

One brick was perfect. Ready to try the asphalt. 2 bricks was more like a doodlebug pull trying to fight the wheelie.

and i dont need the hard springs. Caliper springs from an accord will work as a cheater spring.

glued tires wont work. Gotta have rear beadlocks.

35365E39-5762-4FD8-BD2E-8497F62694B6.jpg New member is a Felony with a Kraton motor in it to run 8s!!! Holy Moly this thing is off the chart fast and I am just running 6s (2 3s batteries)in it till I get familiar with it. I thought that the Infraction was fast but from what little bit I ran it in the street the Felony will walk away from the Infraction!!!! I had to put it up because I did not want to wreck it. Will go to our big parking lot we go to to stretch it’s legs Saturday!!! Picked it up off of the innerweb that some RC wizard had and he changed the motor (Kraton 8s) but never ran it so he sold it and cheap at that!!!:)

My buddy ran 6s a while before moving to 8s. His 8s Felony is the fastest RC car I have driven... My heart was pounding fiercely when I finally pulled WOT for a 7-8 second run and could barley see the thing it was screaming fast... I hit 83mph where we were running it, and I felt there's potential for more. But the car handles extremely well even at higher speeds. You're going have a blast!

it’ll take awhile,, HA!! We are looking for a longer area. Where we go now it is just not long enough, this thing eats up some territory right fast and in a hurry. A friend just purchased the Infraction and right out the box turned it over to the staff behind the counter and changed the ESC/ECU and the guys also changed gears in to so front and rear are pulling the same. In the store parking lot he blew off the stock tires. A guy that comes out with us now can not believe how fast it is and he has some awesome RCs that are very fast as well. In fact it is the guy we acquired the Felony from and he let me know it has the speed gear in it also,, he was wondering why I wasn’t running 8s in it!!! HA HA!!! He knew he was just giving me a bad time. I have to take the Infraction to the RC shop and have the gurus tell me what is in there and see if they can add a couple goodies while we are there!:)

plus I need to get rid of the stock tires on the Felony as they are about gone and do not grip very good at all.

We put the speed gear in the Infraction and we have GPS now so we can see how fast is fast?:)

I also managed to get two 4s batteries to run the Felony which has a big motor and the speed gear in it. I ran it on our street and wrecked three times and blew up the rear tires!!! Kwik run to to the hobby shop and found some better rear tires and a set for the front. I can not believe the difference in the 8s from the 6s. The Felony is lightening quick,, off to the parking lot tomorrow and we get to WOT the Felony in 8s!!! WOW!!!:) I ran the Infraction just a bit with the new speed gear in it and I have a feeling that is just going to eat tires faster now!!! Should get 84 out of the Infraction and hoping to go past 100 in the Felony. WoooHooo!!:)

I’ll do a couple runs then I set back and watch everyone launch their cars and trucks off a couple ramps that some have built now!! They just send em and off they goooooo!!!

Ok on the Felony with low batteries and a heavy wind 76MPH!!! so maybe I am hoping for 80,,,,????:) on the Infraction I ran down the batteries before we could remember to check the speed. 76 across a parking lot is Hauling Butt!!!!! Wicked quickness!!!!:).

a friend that has all sorts of go fast stuff added got 89 but he can’t keep the wheels from spinning so he needs better wheels and maybe some other adjustments??? Next time will get some video of these things doing Smokey Burnouts!!! It’s hilarious!!!

Changed the body on the Infraction truck. This leads into changing the rear end out with Kraton parts to bring out the wheels more. Will be able to run wider wheels to,,,, I think without too much problem. Then the workbench group suggested I change the transmission and trans gear in the Felony. All he said is it will wake it up a bunch!!!:) also told me I will run thru the current wheels PDQ so think about getting the race foam wheels (said they will hold up better):) Nothing like dumping money at the RC shop. :) parts coming in next week.

The Vette does 64 on a windy day.

NOW for the carnage!! This last week I had a straight axle and a new gear put on the trans. The RC mechanic said it is going to wake this thing up!!! and boy did it!!:) The first couple runs did not go well because I would lose traction. I figured it out but even going at a pretty good clip when I would give her full throttle the rear end would still try to get out of control. Thinking I had it down I was going to go for it!!!!!!:) At first the rear end was not having it but I got her settled and slammed the gas, things were going fine until it hit a decent rock or something and the rear end wanted to pass the front end! Sideways she went and there were some concrete car stops and SMACKO!! Sideways into one of them doing God only know how fast! Things flew out of the car body in every direction including both batteries, bits and pieces, plastic parts, steering servo gears, other gears that I do not even know where they came from and the ECU was toast too just dangling by an artery!! Those who saw the wreck said it was spectacular, I did not think so at first but after I picked up parts I thought it was a spectacle for sure!!! The daughter ss
