I’ve got a new one, but it’s a squeak not a rattle. It just started a few weeks ago and is now a constant irritation. 17k miles.

Upper part of driver seat is squeaking like crazy. Anytime my upper back/shoulder blades touch the seat it squeaks, like when coming to a stop or over some rough road or speed bump. Likely something loose underneath the leather. It’s not loud but it’s next to my ears and is therefore freakin annoying.

…what did that head engineer say about these seats again???

Here not a rattle but this is driving me crazy I think is the cab mount, it happens any time I go over a rough road.

Does your truck have air suspension?

I think everyone has a version of that one. Really pronounced over rough roads with rear window down. It's beyond annoying. Makes rolling the rear window down completely useless.

I've got a thud as well when going over some bumps. Not even large bumps like RR tracks or speed bumps. Just leaving my subdivision. Then other bumps I'd think it would thud, it doesn't.

It feels and sounds like my F150 when I'd have to leave the tailgate down when hauling longer loads. It's really weird but very annoying and has to be fixed. I'm suspecting the tailgate bounce mentioned earlier but not sure. Anyone had this that's found a fix yet?

I found this video (very long) and it sounds exactly like it, it’s a not a tundra but the cab mount looks very similar, I just ordered a camera and gonna record the cab mount.

When I close the rear doors I hear a rattling type noise coming from the bed, it sounds like the front of the bed and not near the tailgate. Do we think it could be needing to tighten the bolts?

No other rattles really, except for what I consider fairly normal door rattle from music. Usually can't hear it over the music though.

Edit: I paid closer attention and I think it’s the tailgate. The fit of the tailgate on the passenger side hinge is extremely loose. Seems like the same issue as several others on here.

I have the same noise in my 2021 1794 over bumps—do you know if all 1794s have air suspension/adjustments? Would be awesome if this is something I can adjust…

I know I have seen it but can't seem to find even with search. Has anyone found a fix for the squeak coming from the center console? I love my truck but that squeak drives me insane

It sure doesn't sound like a wire. It sounds like to pieces of hard plastic rubbing together.

I developed a high pitched rattle on drivers side door. It’s like the door panel or the pillar where the seat belt is. It’s any time there is bass. It’s not squeaky but a weird high pitch like wire whisk in a bowl or something

I have a rattle on the exterior of the truck when hitting small bumps like manholes or patched pot holes. Only hear it on drivers side. Can't find anything loose like a heat shield. Maybe cab mount? Anyone else have the same??

Don’t know it this helps but I Had this rattle sound like a loose heat shield on mine, it turned out to be a small rock stuck between the brake disc metal shield and the disc it was driving me nuts, sounded pretty similar to what you described over bumps and etc, the way I found the noise was tapping into the shield and you can hear the noise.

Appreciate the advice. I had the wheel off today and couldn't replicate the sound. Tried tapping and moving the metal shield behind the rotor. I also removed a heat shield I thought it might have been and went for a drive but it's still there. It's driving me nuts lol

Has anyone that has the bed clunk noise over bumps gotten that resolved?

When I asked my dealer to look into it a couple months back, the service manager told me that his does the same thing and that they were waiting to hear on whether Toyota was going to come up with an actual fix or if they were going to claim it is normal and we are just out of luck. I can’t listen to that shit over bumps for 10 years.

I think there a couple solutions posted here. I plan to pull the bed bolts spray a PTFE very liberally on the bolts, brackets and washers

Mine rattles in 3 places, 2 of which I have pinpointed, the third is hard to find as the other 2 drown out the third.

My headliner right above my head rattles like crazy. Exceedingly annoying. I have panoroof on mine. If I pull down on the headliner I can get it to calm down. For now I stuffed some gym socks between the headliner and the roof and it has helped a lot. Ridiculous.

Center console sliding tray rattles a lot, in or out. Almost as annoying as the headliner but at least not right near my ears.

Very disappointing. For what these rigs cost these kind of issues are unacceptable.

Ok, here is the current list and what has been fixed 2023 Limited with sunroof
Headliner both sides near the mics for handsfree-Waiting on new headliner
A-pillar when its cold-should be fixed when the new headliner comes in, very annoying
All four side windows rattle when going over potholes/harsh impacts even bass from the speakers-goes away with pressure inside/outside-dealer looking into ordering all the seals
Center console tray-fixed with silicone grease myself
Center console lid, only rattles when no weight on the console. the cheap felt pieces in the latch are coming off-dealer looking into
Glove box door, door sits too far away small the spring tensioners that are mounted in the dash. Fixed with some folded napkins to add extra pressure, the dealer tried but they didnt take time to understand why it was rattling.
Cabin air filter access cover in the glove box, this took awhile to find. basically put tape over it to fix it
Steering column rattle, sounded like something fell off and was rattling around? and it was, the telescoping stopper plastic rivet broke and took a few days to fall out- waiting on a new steering column
Tailgate rattles going over harsher bumps-went away when I installed a truxedo Sentry CT Tonneau cover

My Jeep Gladiator had two interior rattles, both easily fixed. My other truck, Ford Maverick has two interior rattles. One requires cutting out the windshield to remove an improper alignment pin.

Right now my biggest noise complaint on my plat is the squeaking I get from the drivers door handle/armrest whenever I grab it or press the side of my leg against it. I think its coming from the switch assembly.

I have this same issue. Irritating but I just press harder with my leg and it kind of goes away lol. One day I'll gain the courage to tinker with the truck and add some sort of foam to tighten up that gap that causes it to creak and squeak.

With some music playing, the small inside panel of the interior door handle will start rattling. Took a little while to figure out because it always sounded like it was coming from around the A pillar instead. Not feeling brave enough to rip the door card off to solve it and end up causing more rattles in the process so I'll try sticking something in the gaps around it to see it subsides.

I have a creak coming from the base of the windshield/dash area. I’ve pulled the “A” pillar and put foam tape behind all the wiring clips/plastic holder piece. Thought I fixed it but I did not. Pulled the dash speaker cover and no fix. It’s over rough roads and once you hear it, you constantly hear it on most bumps and it’s driving me crazy! My 2022 Tacoma is rattle free. Even my old 2005 Tacoma didn’t creak like this.

I have a similar rattle from the passenger side speaker grill area on the dash. It’s intermittent. If I put a minimal amount of pressure on the speaker grill it goes away. I’ve tried foam tape under it…still make the sound. It’s been driving nuts for 45k miles. When I’ve taken the truck to the dealer twice and they can’t recreate it.

Just got a new 24 limited Night Shade back passenger door rattles when closing had dealer look at it said it’s normal. I tapped on plastic trim, limited badge doesn’t seem loose, door handle seems fine any ideas.

I've noticed the window switches on the driver's side door rattle. If I lightly rest my finger on the switch, as if I were going to roll the window down, the rattling stops on that one switch. If I place my fingers lightly on all 4 switches, no rattling at all. I don't even have the first clue how to address that without the "solution" becoming a bigger long-term issue.

Yeah, I have a rattle in my steering column. You can hear and feel it going over expansion joints or old cracked up pavement. Only sound in my truck!
