Hey everyone, wanted to introduce myself and start a build thread Got my 2017 Tundra SR5 Crewmax in October 2016. Immediately put a 3" spacer/1.75" block level on it and some some method wheels with 295/70/18's. Here she is the day that I brought her back from the store (I had the dealership put the lift and tires on since my brother manages a discount tire and my dad is the GSM of a Toyota dealership).
    9E9F291B-C944-4D80-AD81-FFBAEA9AAA1F.jpg

Eventually I added a Smittybuilt Overland Tent with a custom rack that my dad and I built to accommodate opening the tonneau cover. Ended up getting orders 3000 miles away and made the drive pulling 7000 lbs.
    A5B3E217-E222-4192-98AF-B6E5EE918733.jpg

The truck was on the back-burner the past few years with work and other activities, but I always hated the ride off-road every weekend with the spacer lift. Only mods I did over the past few years was shortening the tent rack, debadging, and adding some ditch lights just the other day.

I recently decided I wanted to make a change to the suspension with 1) the purchase of a GFC and 2) the goal of getting the Tundra to 300K as our camping vehicle. Here is how she sits today:

Added some SDHQ battery terminals today to replace the stock terminals that weren't looking so hot. Next in this area is a new battery at some point.

Got the front done last night! Drivers side took about 5.5 hours because we moved pretty slow figuring things out. Passenger only took 2.5 and the hardest part was getting the UCA through bolt in and out. Stoked its all in and alignment coming Monday.

Finally got a few things added after parts piling up waiting on the bumper. If you have any doubts, go with a C4 fabrication bumper. I'm truly impressed.

Beautiful rig! You have the same bumper im looking at and I was curious how you mounted the LPs. Just drill into that top surface? Or did you weld brackets? Any pics of behind the bumper after lights were installed? Cheers!

    Thank you!

I just emailed C4 Fabrication and asked them to drill the holes for me in the same location as the lights in their pictures up on the C4 site. No extra cost and worked perfect. I went on an emergency detachment for my squadron the day after I installed everything so the pictures above are the morning I left. I'll get some more for you when I get back home.

Thanks! 2 9's and 2 6's is going to be awesome and I'm sure they can accommodate that! After putting the 2 9's on and using them on the backroad driving home, I can say the 9's are more than enough for me hah.

After Nitro 4.88s and a powertrax grip pro sitting in my storage unit for a month and a half because of detachments, I finally got them installed. The truck already feels better and I'm super happy I pulled the trigger on them. I'll post a more in depth review after the initial break in is done and I have a few trips completed.

Went to Moab this past weekend and had an awesome time on Hells Revenge, Long Canyon, and Gemini Bridges. Unfortunately didn't have enough time to run a couple other trails we wanted to, but looking forward to coming back for more!

Got some beach days recently while we're adjusting from being in our favorite places in the mountains to now living in Florida for the next few years. Happy to find a couple beaches down here to use the truck on though!DSC05213.jpgDSC05242.jpg

Great looking truck. Did you go with the Baja fogs? If so, SAE or no? I'm about to pull the trigger on this bumper and trying to dial in lighting options. Since the Tundra is my DD, I still want to get function out of my fogs in the city as well without blinding people. I have read mixed reviews but wanted to get your opinion!

I did get the BD fogs, but just the squadron sports. They work really well. Just be mindful of how they're aimed because some people have noted that they can be blinding if pointed up too much.

I ran a couple of trails down in Ocala National Forest with the tundra to find some off-roading around here. Needless to say, trails are much tighter here and not as scenic as they are in Washington. Still had a blast though getting to use it in the sand.

Had a fun day trip this past weekend introducing some off-roading to a buddy in his 4runner. Needless to say, he liked it.
