I'm thinking of getting some separate LED's and spacing them further apart. Not a fan of the close grouping of those things.

Hmmm now that you mentioned it, its starting to bug me lol. I just came across another post where a member is thinking about picking up the EAG Raptor Conversion Replacement Grille.

    LOL!
Just my opinion but lsperate LED's are what I'm going for if I ever do it. Just looks more streamlined and rugged without taking away from anything IMO.

    That grille looks pretty good!

A little this and that...Broke now
I'm thinking why would we as Tundras owners want to replicate anything from a Raptor...Just one man's opinion...Now if you look at it and say this whoops a Raptors a$$ then by all means

Hmmm that is a good point. Thanks! I actually started this search for this mod browsing through your thorough thread. I'm just keeping my options open and haven't decided on which route to take yet. But i do agree with you that it would be easier to replace if one LED were to burn out. Decisions...decisions...

I had a interesting discussion on Raptor grill lights last weekend with my son, he said that DOT required them because of the with of the truck, just like duallys. I did a little research into DOT regs, the width ideas is correct, but the location required by DOT is on the roof, and it appears the spacing on the Raptor meets DOT regs.

Not a fan of a Tundra looking like a Ford. Ford would do well to have the quaility of a Tundra. While they are at it fix the carbon monoxide problem in their explorer's that can potentially kills its occupants.

I will never buy a Ford.

I put em in the hood bulge on my chrome grill. I had some issues of the hood bulge separating from the truck but that was probably a me problem.

Yeah honestly the three lights isn't something I would do. Personally seems like you are trying to copy a raptor and in that case its better to just buy one.

    Paging @RowdyRon

Where is the best place to wire up these lights to? I want to just tap into a park light signal. Can I tap into the side marker in the headlamp? Remember mine is a platinum so I don't have a park light at my signals.

Thanks for the quick response! Should I refrain from tapping straight to the park light? Lazy to go all the way to the cab haha.

@RowdyRon did you wire the lights in parallel or series? I'm leaning towards series because it's cleaner wiring but not sure yet.

If I ever get around to it, you know I’ll be doing it myself! Get them just how I like it vs being constrained by a manufacturer.

Your work looks top notch bud!
