Apparently the newer ones are a lot better but people are saying that the mpg savings isn’t worth the extra money for the etorque . They do say that it’s seamless with the stop and go and that you don’t even feel it , I don’t have it so I can only go by what others have been saying about it .

    Very nice,
I have a friend with a Ram 1500 eco diesel.
Apart from service bulletins and general updates he’s been trouble free since 2016.
I’ve driven it and it’s not too bad.
This was before the big refresh in 2019
I hate to admit it, but 24mpg for a truck is tempting.
I would consider a diesel power wagon or eco diesel rebel.
    IF Tundras did not exist...

    I think GM's new 3.0L I6 diesel is getting 30 or better.

I think you’re right , on the Ram forum there’s a few that were getting 32 mpg with their eco diesel but they took it in for a TSB and after the update they were only getting 24-26 mpg . They said it was some government mandated change that Ram had to do over emissions I believe .

Which seems counter-intuitive to me since better fuel economy should yield lower emissions. But maybe the change was to lower NOx or SOx production or something like that.

Something , it didn’t make any sense to anyone there either . The owners of the diesel have said that if they knew that was going to happen they would have stuck with the Hemi .

The Ecodiesel carries a 5,000 dollar upcharge. You'll never make that up in fuel savings. 2 of my coworkers have these, one just traded his in after repeated issues and the other can't keep his out of the shop. They ended up in a rental their last road trip after it took a crap on them. He also has to carry a bottle of coolant at all times because it devours it, Dodge has no fix for it at this time

How is that thing to drive at night with the monster screen in the cab?? I see more and more new vehicles putting big screens on the dash and all I can think of is how distracting it would be to drive at night.

Although I'd never own one, I think the Rebel is a great looking truck. I really love the wheel to tire ratio. It looks really nice. Lots of rubber and smaller wheels that aren't flashy.

I'm with you on the giant screen. I have enough trouble with my night vision as it is.

Nice interior! I bought my Pro at a dodge dealer. While waiting for paper work I was sitting in a truck just like yours. Sure feel like the future compared to the tundra lol.

Why buy a new truck when you can buy a neglected truck and rebuild it for a fraction of the cost!

That is sharp! You use the newer cement color in it or a very close resemblance?

Honestly I don’t even notice it at night , I don’t have the brightness turned up except during the day which I programmed it to do .
