To clarify, I think he's talking about the 5.7 Tundras, not the 5.7 Hemis. Not even sure there is a SC for the 5.7 Hemi?

    Correct. I assumed that. Thanks.

    Adam @GODZILLA

If you do the Gen 6 Stage 2 like the one I linked, it would put 805 hp to your coyote motor.

Fun fact. The firing order of the truck motor and mustang are different. This is how the mustang gets its distinct sound.

Pretty impressive numbers with stock exhaust manifolds.

I keep looking at putting LT headers, methanol injection, smaller pulley, and retune. The power is already outrageous now. I've never owned a vehicle that can light up the tires at 50 mph and still accelerate rather quickly.

Dreams....but I keep buying guns and ammo. I suck.

I'd stick to the ford unit that is warrantied if I did a SC. I have to have this thing as reliable as possible. It's my only set of wheels.

I had no idea on the firing order. I knew there were differences, and I assume that's only one of them, so I have no illusions about making it sound like a Mustang. I don't need it to be super loud or anything, but I might upgrade the exhaust some day. If @dirtydeeds offered something on the F150 with the Coyote I would probably HAVE to get it. Loved what the DD muffler did for the sound of the Tundra. I drool to think about something similar on 5.0.

Guns are cool too, and they need ammo! You don't suck. The prices of your interests suck.

    That is a wise plan.

My interests do suck. I need to sell my rock crawler, flatbed trailer, some more guns....and the list goes on. That might open up some more fun money.

There are SC options for Hemi 5.7/6.4L motors. :burnrubber:

If you sell all that you could get back into a Tundra, no?

Ah. I knew there was for the 6.4, but wasn't sure on the smaller one.

No. I still need a diesel. I have another trailer. I probably will never be in a less capable truck than a 3/4 ton moving forward.

    IMG_6657.jpg

Once my DOT numbers are on the truck, I can no longer hook to my 24' flatbed without a Class A CDL.

Now my wife wants another Tacoma in a few years when she retires. We'll see. I could see us getting a Suburban with a 3.0 Duramax for traveling.

I assume you're pretty good at backing your trailers around, right? You could easily get your class A with your truck and trailer. You'd just have restrictions that made it invalid for anything that wasn't like your truck (no air brakes or manuals for you at that weight), but it'd be easy enough.

I don't want my Class A. No need to go down that rabbit hole. Been there, done that. To be honest, the reason I gave up my CDL was to drinking. .02 can get you a DWI. That is maybe one beer.

Ah. I don't drink so no worry for me there, but I also would not drive if I had a drink. Even just one, but that's a personally imposed rule. In wyoming it's also 0.04 for CDL (half the regular limit).

Yep. Colorado is the same for a DUI. A DWI hits just as hard and can be as low as .02. Obviously I wouldn't stop and have a beer when towing, but I have no issue with stopping and having a beer with my boys for lunch.

Yeah, and that's when it'd bite you since it applies no matter what you are driving. It's just an automatic higher standard you are held to.

Yep. My chances of getting pulled over in the Mustang are a little elevated. It just screams "yeah...it was me."

    Here are some complaints:

    IMG_7128.jpg

A lot of owners that have regular maintenance report no major issues 250-300k miles.

She knows it would be a bad (but fun) financial decision, so she's over it. Her Wrangler only has 22k miles. So still pretty damn new. The PW had a little over 18k miles. And she'd have to park that damn thing.
She loves her Wrangler. She just loves big mud terrains. ( she has 35's and thinks they are too little). I've never met girl with a tire fetish before her!

Well, everyone has to have a hobby outside of trucks

    What a silly idea

J/K. It is good to have other hobbies that you can do. I love a good firearm and ammo, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, vehicles, technology security and privacy, and the list goes on. So, it is good to expand the interests.

This is where I am. There are a lot of fun things, but right now, dependability is key. Maybe in the future. But I would love to see @dirtydeeds have something for the Ram. But even then, it would be a while before I could purchase it.

I was wondering how that would work out. So having DOT regs on your truck, whether you pull the flatbed for your own use, still demands a Class A?

I had a Class B, but when I moved, I just went back to my regular license. No reason to keep it, and I don't like the restrictions on the license if I am not even using it.

    Roush?

My local dealership had a GT 5.0. Manual transmission, etc. If I didn't need a truck, and I was single, I would have driven it off the lot right there. Love the manual in a sports car.

    :rofl::stirthepot:

I was going to say the same thing!

In seriousness, I do feel sorry for the ones who are having a hard time with the 3rd Gen. Stinks to watch a truck break down.

However, I cannot understand how they can be $75-80K for a truck, OR MORE in some instances! That is too much. I would rather buy land.

When you are not in commerce it doesn't matter, but the DOT number on the side of the truck says otherwise. Then the proof game starts. I may use magnets for the DOT number if allowed.

I won't need the trailer anyway, so no reason to keep that headache. This is why on my dump trailer it is derated from 17800 lbs to 14000 lbs to stay under the CDL 26001 lb rating. I'll take an overweight ticket all day long. Incorrect license...that will cost you.

Roush Stage 3. Rather sporty car to drive.

There’s a few owners on the Ram sight that have changed the oil pump to the TRX pump . It has a higher volume than the 5.7 pump .
