    Hi all,

    I'm new here from Houston Texas and I am currently in the market for a new 2018 Tundra SR5 with the TRD offroad package.

    I currently have a 2010 ram laramie and while it hasn't been a bad truck, it wasn't as reliable as I wanted it to be.

    Many years ago I used to sell Toyota's so I am well aware of Toyota's reliability and dependability which is one of the main draws for me (also that crewmax cab).

    I look forward to learning as much as I can and joining the Tundra family by the end of the year.

    If you’re picking out exactly what you want, the TRD Off Road package may not be worth it unless you like the badging. If you’re planning on modding (wheels tires suspension) save some coin up front and avoid it.

    This coming from someone who has one (my budget was limited and I was in the certified pre-owned market. It was between a 2013 SR crew cab and my 2014 SR5 TRD OR - beggars can’t be choosers as they say). I went with the newer model. Glad I did.

    I do plan to mod but I want the led headlights and I have to get the trd off-road package to get them. I also like the trd wheels so that will save me from upgrading, at least at first.

    I plan to upgrade the front shocks to bilstein 5100s on the middle setting and some 275 or 295/70/18's. I also plan to do some color matching getting rid of some of the chrome.
