I have a problem and need to know if there is a fix. I have a 2010 tundra sr5 tdr with a regular radio / cd without Navi. I want to swap out the radio with a 2012 sr5 tdr radio / cd and Navi. The problem is the plugs from the wire harness doesn't plug up and there are more places for the wiring harness to plug into on the 2012 radio than my current radio. Any information welcome. I don't want to put an aftermarket stereo in...want to keep OEM.

They aren’t compatible. The wiring needs are different to operate each headunit.

To get it to work will most likely cost you more than going with an aftermarket head unit. Most likely you don't have the GPS antenna so you'll need to buy one from Toyota (can only guess what that would cost). The same thing would be the case if it has hands free (you would need the factory mic). I ended up putting in a Kenwood unit and with the install kit it looks fine to me. It was cheaper and I think a better unit than the factory one.
