Hello everyone - I'm new to this forum and I've been reading and researching a bit on the suspension set up (Dang there's a ton of information). My goal is for a better ride and handling on the street/highway and a more aggressive stance, I currently have the ReadyLift 3/2 kit on the truck. I have a 2017 Tundra Limited DC 4X4. I'm sorry for not breaking this post into 3 different topics/ or separate post.

I'm leaning toward the Eibach coilover over the 6112 because I hardly tow anything and I don't offroad. Therefore, I think the eibach is more suited for my purpose and goal.

My questions is do I need a spacer plate on the diver side to make it level (I've read that people uses CB on the 6112 to offset the lean). Is it need for the eibach kit? How is alignment after install? (Hearing mix reviews on these? some say they have no issue at all and some say they can't get it to align right).

I did some research and narrow it down to 2 UCAs that would fit by budget (Zone or Rough Country). My question is Zone UCA spec say that it will work with rims that are 6.0 Back Spacing. If my rims are 20X9 with +1 offset and 5.5 back spacing can I still use these UCA without any issue? I'm leaning to the Zone more than the Rough Country because they look beefier, but the spec on the Tough Country will work for my rims. Any suggestions or opinion?

I will be getting new tires as well. The rims I have are Fuel Nutz (one piece) 20X9 +1 Offset with 5.5 back spacing. I want to run wider and a bit taller (I really want to run 34). The size that looking at is 295/60/20, 285/60/20 or 33/11.5 or 12.5/20. I've read that more likely I will have to do body mount chop to prevent rubbing issue at full turn. But I've read else where that it depends on the tires that you run, some people said they have the same rim and are able to run 33/12.5/20 or 295/60/20 without rubbing issue (Could never find a solid answer). I was leaning toward Nitto or Cooper tires. Any suggestion on tires size and tires preference is greatly appreciated.

Any help or suggestions on these three items is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Welcome from Ca. I can't imagine you'd have a problem with the Zone UCA and your setback. Are you quoting a UCA spec or a lift spec? Your UCAs play a role in the need for BMC, You may or may not need the chop. Another factor is the wheel offset. With a +1 you're increasing the chances for needing the BMC.

I have the Eibach front coils. I installed them without shims, the truck had a slight drivers side lean. Then I swapped out my rear blocks (from previous owner) for an AAL, truck had a serious drivers side lean. I think the AAL picked up the ass end about another 1/2", this put more weight on the drivers front and made the lean worse.

I now have 2 CB shims on my driver side coilover. I love the Eibachs. Truck sits level on all 4 corners now. Not sure I would recommend a certain amount of shims. I think different combinations of lifts, usage, miles already on suspension prior to lift...all have a big impact on how much lean and how many shims to use. I know that I would have used 1 initially before I even did the AAL.

Add these 2 your UCA list...
    https://jbaoffroad.com/toyota/tundra/jba-hd-upper-a-arms-for-lifted-toyota-tundra.html

I just swapped out my balljoints under warranty because his new ones are Cerakote'd. All of the new UCA's will come with the new balljoints.

Thanks, I was quoting the spec from the UCAs site. I was worried about having alignment issue so I was going to go with UCA. With zone it says recommending rims with 6.0 BS vs Rough Country says 5.5 Or less BS. I was just wondering which UCA to go with that would give me best chance on not doing BMC. Any suggestion?

I have rough country pocket fender flares on right now. I was being stupid, I purchased the rims before doing the research. I wanted the rims to stick out a bit, so I figure with the +1 offset the tires would stick out about 2.5-3”, but with the fender flares it would stick 1-1.5” from the fender flare. That’s the look I going for, I never thought about rubbing issue. It’s too late for me to return or exchange the rims. Any recommendation on tires size.

Thanks, I will look into the JBA UCA. Is the CB shim the same thickness as the Toytec one, do you know? I see a lot of members using CB shim and not a lot of Toytec, just curious if they are different in thickness.

I've got no idea about the geometry of those 2 UCAs. And, I really don't understand why they have a backspace requirement. That's VERY strange for a UCA and doesn't make sense to me. I'd say go with the Zone 'cause I've heard at least 1 good comment on here about 'em (and they look good) and can't recall anything positive about Rough Country.
Your real issue is the backset on those wheels, pretty sure it's gonna rub on the body mount. Not that big a deal though. Relentless sells plates. You do, or have done, the body mount chop and you can barely tell it was ever done.
I'm really not sure about your offset and tires. There's got to be someone here who's running a similar setup.

CB shims are .25" thick, I think.

Thanks 831Tun, it’s Tuff Country UCA I mean not Rough Country. I haven’t heard to much reviews on the forum regarding Tuff Country UCA. Yeah, I leaning toward the Zone UCA.

I've tried several different UCAs and none of them (Camburg, Icon, MCM) have had backset requirements so I wouldn't read too much into that. Just a little FYI. Best of luck.

@sullymoto and @Backslider are both running Zone UCAs. Maybe they'll chime in and quench or affirm your fears.

IF you are going with the Eibach kit, why not get the SPC arms? They are high quality arms and would be a great addition to the Eibach kit. Reach out to @Toytec Lifts and David will get you all fixed up.

The CB shims are .25" each. I used 2 shims on my driver side. My driver side was about 3/4" lower than my passenger front. My passenger rear was also about 1/2" higher than my driver rear. The way the shims raised the drivers front also brought down my passenger rear, just the way the geometry works out.

Coachbuilder shims showed up in 3 days. I'm sure Toytec shims are equivalent, but on something as simple as a shim it came down entirely to price for me. The CB shims also have a handy alignment dimple, it will make sense when you're installing them. The CB shims come matte black as well, unnoticeable once installed.

I am interested in how you like the Eibach lift, I was considering that down the road.

I also think those JBA UCA's look good too!

Agreed..I'm going with the SPC. Lots of adjustability compared to most uca's.

Im running the Zone UCAs and I love them. IMO they are the beefiest you can buy for the price. I run some larger wheels and tires (22x14 wrapped in 37x13.5) and I feel really comfortable with the UCAs.

The front is entirely stock besides the UCAs and I have had no problems. I don't do a whole lot of off roading, just beach trips and climbing curbs when I need to, but I have good travel with them. I was in between the Zone and the $1100 ReadyLift UCAs, and im glad I chose these. Plus, they look badass.

Knock on wood, but I have never had a problem with alignment or wear of the tires. Everything looks to be perfect.

Here's a pic that I posted once I got my Zone UCAs on...very beefy and tons of room. I believe Zone is like a sub-brand of BDS(correct me if im wrong), so the quality is there. They are perfectly level and like I said, tons of room for when I add aftermarket coils

Thanks for the info, I will probably order 2 shims just to be safe, I rather have extra or spare instead of not having parts during install and waiting on shipment.

Thanks for the pic, since you are running 22” I’m assuming your rim’s back spacing is greater then 6”? From your pic those UCA does look beefy. I’m gonna make sometime tomorrow and call Zone to see about this dang back spacing. I just don’t want to buy it then have issue with the rims, due to fitment and specs requirement that are label on their product.

so backspacing is measured from the back of the wheel to the mounting surface. So my 14 wides, -76 offset actually have a smaller backspace (4.5'') than a wheel with positive offset.

Deeper dish, and less backspacing pushed the wheel out and away from the UCAs. I prolly have a good 4-6" at least from the tire to the UCA, plenty of room.

A quick way to help out would be a spacer. I think an 1" or 1-1/4" would be fine. Spidertrax, Bora, for example. That's usually what guys have to do when running a positive offset. About $125-$150 for a decent set. Just make sure they are hibcentric.

Man, I thought I had this figured out, I just drove my friend's Tundra this weekend and he has the 6112 (man, what a huge difference). Now, I having second thoughts on the Eibach coilover. I'll call David at Toytec to get his input.

Quick question, have anyone bought anything from Boss4x4s? if so how are they (Shipping turn around time, customer service and etc).

Thanks, this is two site when you look them up.

one is boss4x4.com (Without "S") the other is boss4x4s.com (with "S")

the one I'm looking at is boss4x4s.com - Seems to have pretty good pricing.
