Well it took another year, but I picked up a 2023 Tundra 1794 with the TRD Offroad package a week ago. So far just over 500 very quiet and pleasant miles. I really like this truck.

No, the second gen is ugly as shit. Look at the rounded cab. People say it looks aggressive, yeah maybe to a 3 year old.

Even 2 years ago when toyota financing was offering 1.9% on a Tundra, lol please. Not paying for a 10+ year old truck.

Congratulations! 1794 is an awesome truck. Glad to see you made the jump and joined us! Enjoy!

As for the interior size issue, that is my main regret. I got a double cab 6.5 bed. The 6.5 bed was mandatory and I came from a 2nd gen Tacoma Access Cab which worked well for us. But in practice it turns out that the back seat area of the Tundra double cab is less useful than the Tacoma Access Cab. There is literally no room behind the drivers seat on the floor and on the lady's side some but very little. So, I am sort of entertaining the idea of trading for a CrewMax, but those with 6.5 beds are harder to find. Alternatively, maybe I'll just do a rear seat delete at some point but that would require me to make a platform or seat for the doggo.
