Finally tired of getting screwed by Xfinity so we cancelled cable and now use them for only internet and phone.

I hung an outdoor antenna to receive local channels. I’m aware that a lot of people run these directly to the TV, but I’d like to use the same antenna for all 4 TVs in the house so I plan to run it to the box outside where my internet comes in at currently.

The problem is there is only one “in” on the splitter outside so I need a way to have the antenna AND the internet coax both going into this input.

Is this adapter all that I need?

I'm no expert, based on my own experience, the XFinity line will be powered and your OTA antenna may be powered as well to a different voltage. I would disconnect the Xfinity line and run a single home run from outside to your modem/router. Then hook the OTA antenna up to the splitter outside and no more issues.

The splitter you showed is for Direct TV/Dish TV, and the two antennas run on different frequencies and filter out through their splitter.

I have a hd homerun since my antenna is near my router. Works great; especially if you have an Apple TV. I use it with a firestick and find the channels app works a little more smoothly than the hd homerun app. Best part..no need to run wires and I can watch it on an iPad, laptop, or tv. The new version I believe has a Dvr built into it to if you hook a hard drive up to it. Pretty slick.

Also keep your cable runs as short as you can.

I use an amplified flexible wall mounted antenna in my garage for the tv. Works great for my football needs and local weather in the morning.
