Broke push button on passenger dome light. Little white button goes inside circle on right of pic but became dislodged. It looks like it comes from top down. How do I get it back in there? I plan on replacing the bulbs after with led.

In the 2006 FSM they refer to that whole assembly as the Roof Console Box. I personally would be removing that whole Console assembly to gain access. There should be 2 screws in most of the boxes that hold it to roof. Do you mind taking a pic of the whole Console box and removal instructions from FSM could then be offered.

Ok. There are two silver tabs above the two dome lights. You can just barely see one of them in lower part of first pic--in original post.

Took the whole thing down and put it back together. However could not recreate the tension of the working one. I assume I am missing a piece--spring maybe--that maybe fell out or off without me noticing. I did not want to take working light button apart and break that one too. I tried but it was tough to pry apart. Thought better of forcing it. Put everything back up. Most likely have to take it to stealership to repair it without knowing why no tension in button.
I removed the working bulb to replace with bright led one...any recommendations for those?

Well. This hard to believe. After quitting on the dome light switch repair, the impossible happened. With all this extra time on my hands from the Covid situation, decided to vacuum out truck. After vacuuming the whole truck including the WeatherTech mats, I decided to actually wash the WeatherTech Maps. The last mat was the driver mat. After I removed it and just before I vacuumed underneath, I look down and found the tiny spring that goes into the light switch! What are the odds?
Anyhow, will try again in a few days. There are two places it could go in the button as there are two parts to it so still not a done deal but at least I have all the parts.
    Buying a lottery ticket soon.
