I emailed Falken and this is what they wrote back. Thank you all for the great information! I was running way too low of pressure.

“Thank you for providing this information.

Your OEM Size (P275/65R18 114 SL) has a load capacity of 2,421 Ibs. @ 30 psi. per tire in the front and 2,535 lbs. @ 33

psi. per tire in the rear.

Passenger type tires are fitted with a 10% overage in load capability when used on SUV's, Light Trucks, and Vans because of the difference in load handling. This load overage can be removed when changing to an LT type tire, that brings the effective load capacity to achieve down to 2,201 Ibs. per tire in the front and 2,305 Ibs. per tire in the rear.

The new size (LT275/65R18 123/120 E) has a load capacity of 2,202 lbs. @ 42 psi. per tire in the front and 2,310 lbs. @ 45 psi. per tire in the rear, this is the recommended air pressure for everyday use.”

Chalk test it to make sure it proofs out. For me, it did, but I'm a big fan of "trust but verify".

Oh man, Search in the top right of this thread will show you, or youtube. It's not hard, but I'll also say that public streets in New England don't make it easy.

Just look for even wear of the chalk across the treads. More wear of the chalk on the outside means under inflated. More wear of the chalk in the center means over inflated.
