My 2014 DC w/ 5.7 gets 14.5 to 15.5 in 90% city driving. Specially Northern VA, land of the eternal red light... On high trips I've gotten 18.5 and mixed I get 16.5.

I have a DC and the back seat area is more than fine. With small kids I would have went CM hands down. I had to rip out the nice under seat storage for a subwoofer. The CM has more options for subs as there is space behind the rear seats. I like the bed length of the DC but could have lived with the CM. the CM added about $3k which blew my budget, decided to put that money in audio and exterior upgrades.

I just went from 2013 Tacoma Double Cab (also had a 2008) to a 2016 Tundra Crewmax. There is not that much fuel mileage difference with mixed driving or highway unless you are a little heavy on the accelerator. I'm getting about 16.2 mixed but I don't get into traffic congestion much. I'm sure I could get <10mpg if I tried.

Welcome from CO. I can get over 14 mpg on the highway, around 11 mpg city with 3" lift, M/T's, topper, and added weight with HD grill guard. I could probably do better with a tuner. My new exhaust may help a little, but I'm into the pedal too much this last week since I had it installed. Hopefully that urge will wear off soon. CM or DC?? Purely preference. The biggest single limitation (and only limitation IMO) that I have with the CM is that if, IF ,you ever want to buy a camper for it... good luck. I wouldn't mind having the 8 foot bed. After all, my Tundra is used as a pickup/4 wheeler truck, not a soccer mom truck. No offense to anyone. I get it. I had kids. I see mostly CM's around here. Definitely the most popular choice. The CM power rear window is very cool. Not having that could be a deal breaker right there for some. Wish I had one on my DC. Purely preference.

Well, I put an offer in on a 2008 Sr5 TRD DC. Oh only 46k which I feel is pre low for a Toy. See what my bank says tomorrow. Quick question. Shouldn't this truck with these packages have keyless entry?

Yes they should. But they don't. Coming from an F150, you're going to notice a lot of other little things not on our trucks. Simple things like automatic windows, rain sensing wipers, some backlit buttons, power converter... list goes on. But atleast your tundra won't be found on road dead.

I seem to only average between 9 and 12 Mpg. But that is less than 5 miles each way to work and home every day. It's barely even warmed up by the time I get there. I'm pretty sure it would be better if my drive to work was a little further. On the highway I get between 15 and 18 mpg depending on grade and the wind and don't forget my foot. I have owned a 97 F150 with a V6 and it did not get much better mpg nor did my 2002 Dodge ram with a 4.7 L or my 2006
Trailblazer SS with a 6.0 L LS2. All of them seem to get very similar gas mileage city and highway.
