This should be of interest to all of us CO guys. I got this email from Stay The Trail Colorado concerning the new proposed Blue Ridge Rec Area south of Dumont, CO. I know the area and have done some decent wheeling/snowshoeing/hunting there. If interested, contact is below:

"CLEAR CREEK COUNTY IS LOOKING FOR YOUR INPUT!!! They have just over 500 acres of county owned property just across the highway from Dumont, CO that has to be used for recreation. They would like to create a multi-use park called the Blue Ridge Recreation Area that would include 54 miles of multi-use trails, a family OHV Skills and Practice area, a trailer parking lot/staging area and it would connect other existing trails on public lands. This is a great possible new opportunity for OHV users just over 30 minutes from Denver.

If this is something that you would use and would like to see happen please email your written comments, by February 1, 2017 to Beth Luther with Clear Creak County at bluther@co.clear-creek.co.us . Make sure that your email talks about how you would visit the area and spend money in Clear Creek County for stuff like gas, food, lodging, etc.

You can go to the following link to review the Blue Ridge Recreation Area - Draft Concept Plan.

Sounds awesome. Love the family testing and learning area. Will check out the details later on their website. Only negative is more traffic on I70 from what's already there.

Hell, take the back roads to get there. "Oh my God" road from Central City. More fun that way. :mudding:

If you look at the attached pdf you will see several white colored long, narrow plots scattered throughout the area. Those are existing claims. The area was full of gold. Still a lot there. I wonder what's up with that since they are smack dab in the proposed area.

I received the same email. Thanks for posting this Matt.

Denver traffic sucks ballsack and asscrack this morning. On multiple occasions I thought of using the 19 to cleanse this city of idiots.
