Just installed new wheels and tires that I had shipped, so I've been driving around for the last 2 weeks with the TPMS light on. Been holding out for an alternative to paying the dealership $100 for 5 minutes of work, and I found a great one.

I went by my local Discount Tires today, and they programmed the new sensors for free. Took about 10 minutes only because the tech and I were chatting about the truck a little bit. Would have been quicker if he wasn't so cordial. Tipped him $10 and went on my merry way.

So if you're ever in a similar situation, hopefully you have a DT nearby.

Did you recycle your OEM sensors or buy the discount tire or others?

As far as I can tell, no, they don't appear to be the same.

OEM sensors are still in my PRO wheels/tires I have sitting in the garage. The company that I bought my new combo from installed sensors prior to mount and balance.
