Programmable tuners for the Tundra?

    are there any programmable tuners out there for the tundra? or all they just basic stuff. im thinking about changing my gearbox and its been too long to have gone without one now with mods and no gains...

    i have the 4.6L they dont have it listed for it...

    They dont make it for the 4.6 do to the small numbers made.

    i see. are there any programmable tuners out there on the market for the 4.6L?

    None that I know of. I believe BD is the only one that makes an actual 'tuner' for Toyota. Hypertech might have a smaller option for you.

    yea. i saw those. but not sure how that works. so i have to tell them what i have done and they tune it accordingly. what happens when i make more modifications...? im going to have to call and see.

    That is a piggyback system. You still use your factory ecm. What this does is change what the ecm does. They are flashable so say for example one curve doesn't work you can flash to other one see what is best for your set up. Some you can even fine tune the curve.

    just got off the phone with them. spoke to a nice fellow named jack. but im still a bit confused of how it all works saying you may to have to tap into more cables...and he said he would throw those in for me for free...not feeling so confident anymore about what im doing. and for one it doesnt change the speedo. he said hypertech has a plugin that can do that.

    No tuner is going to change the speedo. Speedo sensor comes from the transmission/transfer case not the ecm. I have only knew of a few to run though the ecm to the speedo. Ecm only looks to see how fast your going so it can adjust fuel/air mixtures.
