Hey All, I have two keys and two profiles in my ‘22. I want one of the keys associated with my account and the other with my wife’s. I’ve linked the keys, unlinked and re-linked them but we still have to manually switch profiles with the pin code entry when we use different keys. Am I misunderstanding how that’s supposed to work?

My expectation was that when we had profiles set up and link separate keys (with the other key nowhere near the truck) that when the truck was unlocked the key near the truck would cause the associated profile to load up automatically.

What’s actually happening is that you have to manually switch and the linked key feature seems to do nothing. Wondering if people have had success with this as pretty much the only options I have left are to delete both profiles and try again and then contact the dealership.

Didn't Tim say there was a PIN issue like this that Toyota was aware of and working on?

Yeah, I think he was saying that he had to enter the pin every time regardless which isn’t what I’m seeing.

I’m also mildly confused by how it knows what profiles are available and how to add them. It’s a weird system.

That may have been it. I was thinking it had to do with the second key not working correctly.

I hope you’re right, it definitely seems like they didn’t test this use case. I hope the rumoured February update includes a bunch of fixes for the multimedia system.
