    hey guys,
bought an 08 with a procomp stage 2 lift on it. the coilovers are crusty and it rides like poo. back shocks are clapped out as well. rusty. thinking icons? any other suggestions? truck is 100% street driven. i want a smooth ride. i dont care about matching brands front and rear.

lastly where to go to purchase? who supports the forum here?

    thanks
    andy

I got a stage 2 pro comp 6 inch and am so far happy with it. Plus they have a 5 year 60k mile warranty, ride is like stock. Maybe look into it, I know that's what you have now but from years ago

Does Toytec work the the procomp lift? To replace the procomp units I'm going to be around 800. If I can spend a bit more and get a better ride I'm all in.

To make it simple if just call Toytec and have them go through the options. They're awesome to deal with.

On my Tacoma I had the procomps and they sucked. I switched to the icon coilovers for a 6" lift and custom length aluminum icons for the rear and it rode great. I may go with the standard length icons on the tundra when the stocker's give out.

I wrote it down at work. I don't remember. He said I've only been here for a few weeks. I'll try again maybe get some more tenure?

Procomp stage 2 I assume is the 6" lift. I know Toytec can get you the longer Coilovers in sway-a-way, Icon or King. Not listed on the website.

Toytec customer service is treating me right. Can't go wrong there. I am going from Icons on my 4Runner (never had any leaking or other problems) to Kings. I hear the Kings are supposed to ride smoother... supposed to do with the Icons being digressive vs. King (progressive).

Can always call Pro-Comp and get them rebuilt--last quote was $265 a piece. Brand new ones were $385. Just saying. Had that set up in my FJ. Rode them for near 60k not so nice miles...they held up great

I ended up just buying new from pro comp. They warrantied the rears and I bought new fronts. 800 bucks for new front coilovers and rears shipped to me. I couldn't justify custom stuff. Hopefully they ride ok.

This was one of the reason I chose pro comp, the warranty 5 year 60000k miles, no one else was offering that

I could have had them rebuilt also but for a few hundo more to have all new I felt that was worth it.

I was pretty damn happy with my StageII on my FJ. Solid feel on the road and exceptional off road. The rears were nice too...MX6. Those things soaked up a lot of terrain
