Last week I had a brake controller installed at a local shop and when I tried it the next day with my trailer I had no left turn signal at trailer and the power signal for brake setting will not increase from 0. The trailer worked fine with my 15 Tundra which has an aftermarket controller also. The running lights are working.

Sounds like an F-ed up install. First you need to isolate the problem. Go to the 7 pin at the bumper and check each of the pins for power. If you look at the covers to the 7 pin and the 4 pin connectors, you'll see the schematic.

It tells you what each pin is for.
Take a 12 volt tester or a multi-meter and check each circuit. To save time I usually turn on the headlights and the hazard flashers.....it keeps you from having to run back and forth. Then find someone with a foot and have them mash the brakes and check that circuit. If you have power to all the circuits, then the problem is with the trailer. If not you'll have to run back that circuit. My controllers brake setting won't change if the trailer isn't hooked up to the truck.
    Good Luck and God Speed!!!

Thanks for the help. I'll check it out tomorrow. I wasn't sure if there was a fuse or relay that needed installed. I'm pretty sure the trailer is fine. Only a year old with led lights and it works fine with my other truck.

It turned out to be a loose wire on the trailer. Thanks for your assistance.
