While your statement is true, I still wouldn't want to pay $900+/ mnth for anything other than a house esp considering homes appreciate while most cars, trucks, and boats depreciate. Well, that is unless I win the lottery which in case I would still buy something outright vice financing.

I totally agree. $900 a month for an auto loan is steep. That is almost as much as my monthly mortgage payment :)

Read the fine print at the bottom. Not a binding document. Let the time lapse, get your refund and take you business somewhere else.

I called Arizona. They are only allowing registration and license in their state only. Because of the demand.

I’m giving unsolicited advice but if your current vehicle is operating normally I think sitting this silly ass auto market out is your best bet. Give it 10-12 months to shake out and settle down. Give Toyota time to sort out this new Tundra cause it has issues.

Was able to retain one from Bakersfield CA and put a down payment on one.

Build date is in March should be done 6-8 weeks after that.

You have a build sheet for $50,283, but a price for $56,373+ fees. How did it get $6k higher than the MSRP? Also, they can charge "fees" of $3,999 for nitrogen and window tint when that truck comes in. $10k over MSRP at the end of the day.

You are in the exact same boat as dealer #1 it looks like to me......

This is the one I wanted initially the exact package only.
6k markup can be brought down.

fees would only be licensing and tax nothing else

it’s tough getting hands on any brand new vehicle at the moment. Rather a near 6k. Compared to an unnecessary lift at a 10k markup.

How can you assume it will be another 10k markup?? And what if it’s not?

no aftermarket work will be done after the fact of the vehicle arriving. Source is very reliable.

Or hey have them add 7 more inches to the 3 inch lift and your $10k lift is lookin pretty damn good

So you went from paying $10k over MSRP to "only" paying $6k over MSRP. This time you only got swindled slightly less so I suppose that's a "good" deal...

FYI, I called two dealers and both were able willing to sell me a Tundra at MSRP. Either your negotiating skills are terrible or you need to try harder. The dealers can obviously sense your desperation.

I saw someone on the Lexus forum complaining about a 2.49% interest rate because they had gotten a 1.9% on their 2021. So they are trading in a 21 for 22, complaining about a .6% rate but will gladly pay MSRP. Sad times we are living in for sure.

Yea, good luck with that. The dealer clearly wrote “$6,373 + Fees” on the biild sheet for they know they have you over a barrel. If you are not going to pay that price then your position should have been clear before the dealer wrote that on the sheet. Also the term “Fees” is vague and can be anything regardless of what you think. No disrespect, but as the poster noted above, the dealer knows you are desperate to get this truck and has the upper hand.

You're wasting your time (and money). There will be zero room to negotiate after a deposit has been placed. They know you're committed at that point. I hope that deposit is refundable...

Yep, mans got one foot in the door at this point

Don't walk to the next nearest dealership. Run. This is not a dealer worth doing business with. Shady as shit. Lots of dealers are getting allocations -- I know how hard it is (I just bought), but keep looking.

This 100%, and the desperation will lead you to pay more than you should for something you don't really need (but do really want).

These dealerships will absolutely screw you when they know (and they know) that you want a vehicle bad enough to even negotiate the price of things which you don't want. Once you put a deposit down the time for negotiation is over. Learn to walk away. In this market it is difficult to get leverage over dealers because every day a sucker walks in ready to buy what they don't need for way too much. The dealer knows this and counts on it. Don't be that sucker.

And for God's sake don't pay for nitrogen in the tires.

That's the best thing you could do. I know its frustrating but you'll find the right dealer and get exactly what you want if you're patient.

How y’all feel about this one

    Oregon

    no mark up.
    Just MSRP and licensing

i called up and down the state.

for the price that I’ll be paying in California for a base track, I will most likely get hit over the head. For the same amount of price I can get this truck, that also offers better options + a 6.5 bed.

I am a fan of Army Green. Was going for white. But I will let it grow on me.

does anyone know what the interior means
    black/red?

I agree... This is definitely not the poster child Toyota sale/customer commercial where it's all picture perfect , no stress, no gimmicks, no bullshit.....Surprised they didn't waterboard your ass to sign... Damn near...
Move on to a better Toyora dealer and sales department...Good luck.
