I tend to be very conservative when it comes to corners and stops I need to muscle my way through to get into traffic. I have learn that stomping on that throttle will not get you into traffic any quicker.

There's no data available about what gear the transmission is actually in (State of the clutch solenoids) The only pid available is what the ECU is asking for (Shift Status) Downshift timings seem pretty consistent to me. The only thing doable right now is to make sure they apply the latest recall will update the TCM to a newer revision.

If its something replicate able on a test drive then have the tech ride along with the techstream to data log.

I put it in Sport mode when I come up to a busy intersection. I can't remember the lag ever happening when I am in Sport mode. But sometimes I forget to put it in Sport mode, so not sure how much I should trust my memory.

Question for y’all if I may. Is the main issue the transmission/trans ecu? It feels like the lunging forward recall and sluggishness down low are programming issues but for whatever reason they can’t roll out a fix (or even acknowledge it). Perhaps the issues are competing with one another?

I’ve been saying all along to a gazillion techs that it feels like it’s a bogged down motor stuck in too high of a gear. Same with a manual starting in 3rd and having it bog way low. When it was doing it earlier I flicked over to manual and it was trying to accelerate from 3rd or 4th, it didn’t settle in until rpm’s got around 2500-3k.

Is there any data that shows that a certain trim is better or worse with these sluggish/throttle/dead throttle issues? I’m considering ditching this Limited for a Platinum as I hear it’s more quiet and in 24 they’ve solved some of the other issues as well.

So this has happened to me twice in 9 months of ownership. I just did the transmission update for the neutral crawl and the truck seems different in terms of shift points. Fingers crossed this fixed it.
I did note it to the dealership and the first time they blamed it on my switch panel. This time they said they tried driving it like they stole it and couldn’t replicate the issue.

That is a good question in regards to hybrid vs non,ya gotta wonder if the motor generator picks up the slack and prevents any noticeable lag.

Yeah basically I'm hyper focused on delay that happens specifically at low speeds. (Below 12mph) In my testing the delays always are when the vehicle is indicating its in 1st gear. Any time it doesn't shift into 1st its actually responds well. So I don't have any data that sluggishness is related to it being in 2nd or 3rd.

Also supporting that things do sofar seem better on the new Calibration.

If you have a 2022-2024 Hybrid there is a ECU update out for the truck starting in 2nd instead of 1st as of April 1st, so I could be an issue on Hybrid models not starting out in 1st gear. Apparently the way to check is to go into S mode and observe that S1 is locked out while stopped.

I am probably going to jinx myself here but likewise, since the recall work a couple weeks ago, I have not had an instance of a noticeable lag from a stop like I was intermittently getting before. This is just SOTP, and I am not logging data. But so far, so good.

Has happened to me trying to enter heavy traffic.

You go to give it gas as a car crosses in front of you so you can quickly get in behind them in right turn.

I'm convinced the truck radar/computer is seeing the car passing and doesn't want to let you accelerate so it kills the pedal.
