Last night I went to bed thinking their is still light at the end of the tunnel. I was just crushed to read your last condition post. So Sorry Brian. I just hope and pray that he is not in any pain. Not sure why some of the good ones get taken from us. I lost my identical twin brother almost ten years ago and I still talk with him every morning and night. It still brings a tear to my eye when I'm laying under the Tundra and get in a jamn and want to pick up the phone and call my best bud. It seems like it was just the other day that we were working on our trucks together. I think that's what makes me addicted to this forum and working on my truck is the fact I'm covering for my brother too. Sorry to ramble on as this thread is about you and your friend still in need of our prayers. Staying strong so you will too !

Praying for Miah. May God bring him to feast with all of the others that have gone home.

And may God comfort Miah's family (and you also, Brian) and send peace and reassurance that you WILL see and embrace Miah again with that smile that never goes away.

Peace to all of you guys.

Thank you Miah for your friendship. You always had a smile on your face. Made friends with everyone. Always found something in common to bring yourself closer as friends. Most moral Christian man I know. Huge impact on everyone's life because of your fun loving personality.
The thing that I remember the most were the camping trips that we went on. So much fun. You would sing the munchkin song in a perfect munchkin voice as everyone was starting to fall asleep. Went from half asleep to laughing our asses off.
Rest in peace my friend. I will see you in Heaven some day.

Continued prayers for all involved. I am reminded of a famous hymn, It Is Well With My Soul, written in 1873 by Horatio Spafford while grieving the drowning of his four daughters after their ship collided with another. I find the words comforting in almost any difficult situation ...

    • When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
      When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
May all involved find peace in God's love.

I'm sorry for your loss Brian.

Two years ago a friend of mine was unexpectedly taken too soon. Luke Bryan's song "Drink A Beer" always reminds me of him.

Rest easy Miah. I will continue to send prayers for you and your family.

I was reluctant to post the thread "Splash a little whiskey.." last night. Not until you replied to the thread was I put to ease about it, and you understood where I was coming from.

I was physically ill, being around Motosports all my life, with these injuries and the end result. Miracles happen every day, but there were other plans for Miah that we as humans will never understand or comprehend.

Extend our prayers, thoughts and concerns to Amber.

I just don't have the words man....this brings up a lot of my own demons I struggle with on a daily basis.

    Sorry man, Chris out...

Just horrible news Brian. Sounds like not only you, but so many others lost a great man. If their is a silver lining, Miah is no longer suffering and is in a glorious place. The suffering will continue on for his friends and family, but their will be strength in numbers as you all console each other. Spend time with the ones you love and laugh LOTS. It's great medicine. I did not know Miah personally, but will laugh each time I see the Wizard of Oz munchkins. Stay strong and smile at someone each day.

I'm so sorry about your friend. I'm a physical therapist and I work in a hospital on the Neurology floor and ICU. I treat people like your friend everyday. Spinal cord injuries and brain injuries are life changing events. AND I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy or whatever you believe in that is good. So sorry... when I posted the above I hadn't read the entire thread... so sorry for your loss. There are times when injuries are so bad and damage to the brain is so great... sometimes it's better they go to be with the Lord.

Guys so this is very odd. They made the decision to stop life support and I thought he was gone. He is now breathing on his own. Body is still fighting. Brain took a beating with pressure. He is being moved to hospice. This has truely been an emotional roller coaster. Feel so bad for his family.

    You guys are awesome!!

Please please please direct them toward Miah and his family, not me. They need as many prayers as they can get. Making the decision that they did and to have him still breathing is devistating.

Wow @csuviper , that has to be hard on Miahs family. Continuing to pray.

It's hard to find the right words to help comfort in situations like this. Just know Miah has all these guys and more praying and interceding for him, and that God is with him, as well as you and his family. It may be hard to see or feel Him, but He's there nonetheless. If you or Miah's family need anything, don't hesitate to ask. Peace on you, Miah, his family and friends.
