Update for today (this is on the public GFM but thought i would post here)

"I again want to thank every single one of you that has reached out on social media, email, text, and more to comfort both families, Amber, and Jeremiah during this time. Everyone enjoys reading about what an amazing impact Jeremiah has had on so many different lives.

At this point, everyone is comfortable letting all of you all know additional information. Jeremiah has a team of doctors working with him in the ICU. The trauma to his spine is severe and it's clear that he will be paralyzed from the waist down. The cause of this is due to his T7 vertebrae being destroyed with some damage to his spinal cord. Some good news on his spine is that the doctors are confident that he will be able to sit up on his own.

Jeremiah's brain is and remains the point of main concern. He has what is classified as diffuse axonal injury (DAI) which is a condition in which his brain has twisted and impacted due to the movement of the brain, but not the skull. Additionally there is a lot of bleeding in his brain. Right now the doctors are working extremely hard to keep his inter-cranial pressue (ICP) low. This is where the doctors will not know the extent of the damage until the swelling is down.

Right now we are asking everyone to focus their healing thoughts and prayers on Jeremiah's mind. We are keeping hopeful for his recovery and that he will come out of his coma soon."

Prayers up. I know this can be a very trying time on the family, long hours spent at the hospital waiting to hear good news. Please stay strong for each other during these trying times.

No problem. I just copy from what his sister updates. So I had a real hard time the night I heard and have actually been ok since. Hit hard then I really don't know the stage of grieving I'm in now. Constantly thinking about him and praying.

Hey Brian thanks for keeping us updated. It takes a strong man just to gather and post this information. We appreciate you doing this and please continue to let Amber, Jeremiah and the family know we are all thinking of them. Please stay strong as we do the same for you.

The update for today is not good. Head pressure peaked at 35 today. Needs to stay below 20. One part of the eye is responding to light but not the other. Still a lot draining from chest.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Very much appreciated. We found out today that the brain stem is not connected. His temperature keeps rising. Intercranial pressure above 50.

Please pray for a safe and quick passage to Heaven.

    That's terrible Brian.

I haven't been reading the updates because I just watched my father pass 5 short months ago, and I still get a emotional thinking about it. But, I had to let you know your friend, his bride, his family, and you are in my prayers. Bless you all.
