So it seems as though my 2000 tundra is leaking from near the reservoir. I’m not sure if it’s the return line/the pump line or both (or the reservoir ). I cleaned it up and I’m awaiting some more leaking to try and pin point it. Seems like one of the lines is 80 bucks. Can’t find the part for the other.

I might try just the clamps. See if it works.

Return line can be replaced with a 3/8” pliable hydraulic hose and some clamps if the hard line rotted out.

My 2000 did the same a couple years ago. My hoses were brittle and cracked. The larger diameter hose from the reservoir to pump is available. The smaller hose to the hard line is not - you have to buy the entire line which is a $500 dollar part. I bough the cheap Sunsong hose from Rock auto and cannibalized the rubber lines. Also my reservoir was badly discolored and developing cracks so I bought one from Rock Auto. The reservoir was identical to OEM but the mounting bracket looked cheap so I removed the reservoir from its mount and put onto the original OEM mount. Six months ago The high pressure hose started weeping fluid. I bought a Gates replacement from Rock Auto and it fit perfectly

The leak seems to be from here right at the reso.

Mine was leaking from the reservoir, I just moved the pressure clamps down and put two Home Depot snake hose clamps there. I then cleaned everything off with degreaser.

I’m still chasing a leak that I’m sure another hose clamp will fix. Im sure it’s the other end of the reservoir hose

below is a thread that has a lot of information and parts diagram and list (post -#26)

Clamps are probably fine but hoses are dried and hard.

I’m pretty sure my issue is with the hoses where they meet the reso. The larger hose seems like an easy replacement as mentioned. But the smaller hose can’t be got. So I might need to find an answer for that. Pretty crappy since i don’t need the Main lines replaced

So right now my plan is to replace the larger hose only. New clamps.

the hard line and hose for the smaller line (since it comes as a unit ).

A new reso since mine is discolored.

Has anyone used an aftermarket reso that held well ?
