Not a bad idea. I got a kick out of a video in another thread done by someone (maybe you?) where he showed how to install the fixed factory boards and said they were temporary until the Amp electric boards came out "maybe by summer". That video was done in May 2022. I guess he didn't say WHICH summer. Summer 2022 is long gone, and summer 2023 is nigh approaching. I am betting on summer 2024. By then your current boards will be well used and probably not worth much.

Is it possible to have the step stay down after exiting? Curious because I’d like to leave it down to have a little door ding protection.

Any more updates on power boards? I thought someone mentioned Amp is available now… but they only have one motor per side? Any further thoughts on GoRhino, quality, which finish(black or bed-coat ) motor longevity…etc.. Has anyone ordered Smittybilt? Power boards are certainly not cheap, want to make sure I get the right ones…I appreciate everyone’s input and expertise.

    have a GREAT DAY!

amp has always had 1 motor per side. I ran a set for 5+ years in Montana and had a motor start to go out outside of warranty. Amp sent me 2 new motors and 2 new boards free of charge

Interesting Amp only uses one motor. I would think two would be more ideal, especially in cold climates. But IDK, don’t have any experience as of yet…

Here's the OEM power steps. Currently unpowered. LoL definitely handy for the shorter people in my family. But really need to get them wired up as it's easy to get high centered.

Wrong, Service Tech is full of shit, I have them on my 23, has nothing to do with ECU, power wire is to the battery.

You're incorrect. They have their own ECU that controls them and the power bed step.

The AMP power step extreme option looks great. They have dual motors! Check out the video on Real Truck website.

If your talking OEM boards, my mistake, but I know for a fact the Go Rhino E boards have nothing to do with vehicle ecu

Well, my mistake. I got this thread mixed with the "OEM power running boards" thread. I WAS talking about the factory ones. Not sure which Machd08 was talking about.

Anyone has pics of how they zip tied and secured the harness for the gorhino e1 for non-hybrids?

I routed the driver side magnetic wire under the seats from passenger to driver side underneath the carpet and rear center console.

the on off switch was routed thru the front carpet and front center console but only had enough wire stick the switch right above the gas pedal.

it took 5 hours doing it by myself and was rushing to finish zip the ties. Kinda looks like shit.

mid tikishia can maybe Post the video of underneath the car but not sure how different hybrids are.
