Hello— I just bought a 2017 tundra 1794 with the automatic running boards but I can’t figure out how to work them..

the seller told me he removed the fuse so they would stay in the up position (he didn’t like them) but I can’t for the life of me find the fuse nor can I identify a button to activate them.

my passenger running board is stuck down and driver stuck up

    thanks in advance

Try asking on the 2nd gen forum, you might have better luck there

You'll need to start chasing wires from the power supply. I bet you run into a fuse not too far along from the source

The Aries ActionTrac boards will definitely prevent cart dings and they're powered.

Try looking under the driver seat or passenger seat (under the truck) and see if you have this plug. Obviously would have a cap if is outside. IMG_5553.jpg
Or look on either side, driver or passanger seat, remove the small plastic panel and see if close to the main harness as in the second picture. IMG_5558.jpg
if you see that rubber plug from outside, than the plug may be inside under the carpet.

Will the OEM AMP power running boards work on a 2023 Limited crewmax truck?

regarding functionality, I know they fold in/out with unlock/lock with doors. Is there a switch or something where you can run or override manually?

Also, I’ve received mixed reviews in certain elements, like snow, ice, and salt creating issues with power running boards. Any feedback on this?

Ran AMP steps for over 500k miles in MT, ID and WY winters and only had them get stuck 1 or 2 times. I was good about kicking ice and snow build up off of them though and spraying them at the car wash every week or so.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone installed on a Limited? I’m not sure if they will work?

I believe the interior switch goes next to headlight adjuster, which mine is blank/available for a switch.

Correct. I even called Amp and they would only say "next year". That's a lot of range. I just ordered the Go Rhino powered running boards. Supposed to ship 12/16.
