Try a cheap can of spray paint haha. I’ve been spray painting my oem wheels since I could drive. Haven’t really had issue with durability. It’s not like your wheel will hold up to a curb with or without paint. It’s all about prep. If you want extra protection clear coat is your best friend.

What kind of prep do you do before painting and what kind of paint are you using?

I do a good sanding with 120 grit first, blow the dust off with high pressure air (or cheesecloth). If your really nervous use a paint prep cleaner. Then a high build etch primer. And usually a good quality enamel paint. I always spray a lot of thin coats of primers and paints. Helps to have a nice warm day or workspace for curing too. And like I said clear coats are helpful also. :hattip:

I am not a big fan of 20" wheels but these are nice. I like the fact they don't have the fake bead lock ring. Toyota does a great job with their factory wheels for trucks.

Yeah, you don't see many in that color. Plenty of black, just found out they have chrome, but love the look of these.

Nice original color choice. Do you have any other pictures?

No, these are ones I found the pics online. I would love to get my hands on a set of factory or have my LA edition ones powder coated. But seems like it's not cheap. Plus, I've already mounted new tires so would hate to unmount, PC, mount back, etc. But I do like them.

I have been thinking about changing the color of my wheels. What did you decide to do?

I actually never went forward. After installing the new coilovers that satisfied me for a while. I've started spending money on other hobbies that have limited the bank account!

If you do move forward, please let me know how it comes out. I'd love to see some pictures of the finished products!

Not sure. I grabbed this from someone who had these powder coated. I've decided to purchase new wheels when the time comes for new tires. Because otherwise, I'd have to remove wheels and tires, remove tires, have powder coated and reinstall since that is my only set. So much easier to purchase new set when the time comes. But I do like that color.
