That color is awesome. Looks great on your truck!
Yep, have had my fair share of tickets too. Now it’s my 16 year old sons turn. Just recently turned the Mustang keys over to him. Told him tickets & insurance are his problem, not mine.
I bought it new in 92, had it ever since. Was pretty cool to pass it on. He was thrilled.BA921A4A-466C-4AE7-8A8C-C57E21459312.jpg

A buddy of mine had an RCMP Interceptor of that model. His old man snuck it in under the wire
of a fleet order. Best handling Mustang I ever drove. Soooo fast!! Very fun to drive.
Glory Days! HaHa! I’m sure your son will have his own stories soon enough.

One of these days FedEx will get my new bumper out of California! How's the black center piece on your front bumper? I'm thinking about buying the Demello hidden winch mount in that spot and could give you mine, which is otherwise in excellent shape.

Wow, thanks! Mine is okay. I’ve been eying that hidden winch mount myself. Be a great safety to the front of a 2WD.

Parts arrive Monday for the Tundra from Amazon. I need
to get small aerosol of proper tinted paint. Seemed to have missed a couple of brackets
on the changeover and I don’t want any of the old red to bleed through. Would look silly.

Wow, you are making great progress!

The 4.7L is a great engine, keep the MAF & Throttle body clean, and change the PCV.

I had that color on my '76 Z... excellent choice.

I just went through your whole rescue build. Making me feel better about my truck now. I’d had
some misgivings about spending a bunch of money on this thing but your suspension upgrade and clearly presented make it better. I can do any of the work myself, so it certainly saves money. I’ve had to pay a bit more than I wanted lately, just because I was too sick to finish the body stuff myself.
It would make me happy to have another classic hot rod out back too, but Land Cruisers are my other cars. Just no room for something that needs to be stored indoors.

I used some winjet fogs on my 07 steel bumper'ed truck, great fit. I wired into stock wiring and also installed an OEM fog light turn signal stalk so it's all controlled by an OEM switch cleanly. I was disappointed to find that there is no dash indicator for fog lights being on, otherwise I would have just installed the janky toggle switch and harness that comes with the winjet kit for anytime on fogs.

Cool color, reminds me of an F150 build I did about 15 years ago, I don't recall what blend was used but it was a heavy metallic.

That model of F150 is why I bought a Tundra. Crash test survivability in those F series was very poor. My brother has one, can't
convince him to sell it. But yours does look like a Ford version of my long box, for sure! I'm really looking forward to lowering that
back end with some airbags. Will be so much better!

Finally, back at it after a lengthy delay. The overwhelming of it all! To all who goes into
Restorations - This is NOT how you do it. I should have put each zone into ziplocks and labelled them. As it is, the collection was scooped up at the body shop and dumped into a tub. I developed a severe sickness so the last week of the bodywork I couldn’t participate in. Bummer. But it’s not my first tear down either. So be it. 5D759AF5-551A-41A7-8108-20634C53FC15.jpg 890C8ED3-0762-46D2-8100-02858937A40D.jpg 868CB136-1416-4CD1-B080-A773182BB67D.jpg

The last drivers and pass seats get final cleaning today. I’ve learned detailing to a better extent and very happy. Thank goodness for those factory Toyota seat covers!!! Amazing well built, great design and did what probably no other seat cover I the world could have done, keep these seats from being absolute garbage considering how this truck was treated. 3D0120D8-76FE-41E0-ACE9-77ADD9AC431F.jpg95AE295B-F35C-4644-A75A-EE0DB49D06A0.jpg

Just a whole day cleaning, sorting parts. I forgot to remove the structure brackets from the old bed so that was
a bit of a struggle to get back under that. Glad I hadn't dumped it yet.
I did get new plastic bits from Amazon. I'll see about posting pics of the bags, be nice to have enough replacement
now for all the inserts and clips.

New toy. Should make it easier, but probably take me a month to figure out the setting. Got interior stuff all cleaned up. Problem with the drivers door extension stopper is broken, so back to Amazon and until that gets here I guess that side will wait. Should get carpet rear plastic and, fingers crossed, headliner today. My hands are all sticky with adhesives and paint. Don’t really want to grime up the new headliner.

Broken pad, see if this adhesive works. It was used to glue upholstery to plastic door panel on RAV4 so it’s safe and easy

All the bits and pieces not in repair are cleaned up and ‘Bumper Renew’ applied, they all look like new. Miracles happenA01C8AC1-1F6C-45F9-BAD1-97BDDC28C6B1.jpg

    I need HELP!
Could someone post a picture of how the rubber door frame seal goes on. It’s got this hard, tread
like out part, but it’s got two really soft attachment areas that I can’t figure out where in the heck
in this circle they go!! I don’t even know if I got the correct sides figured out. When I took them
off it never occurred to me that not only were the sides not obvious, but how I the heck they go
    back on,
Pictures of Regular Cab only please.

Thanks to @ANOMIC for a pic in the RCSB thread! I think I have it, so I’ll put a couple pics.
Someone can let me know if I’m close enough. First one is where the kick panel completes at the bottom. The second shows that ‘joint’ right at the latch, that’s what anomic pics got me oriented.
The last two are without and then with step panel. Sure glad I worked this out before I went to install the headliner, would have drove me nuts to be jerking around with this with the headliner suspended.
Anyways, thanks in advance for any input on whether this is correct or not.

I thought I'd add an encouraging word about the 4.7 motor. I recently sold my first gen tundra with the 4.7 2uzfe. It had a bit over 500,000 miles on it. It had zero blow by, burned no oil, made no weird sounds, leaked nothing and pulled strong. I changed the oil faithfully every 3-4,000 miles. I learned to change the timing belt myself. At first I considered the timing belt change to be a hassle. After my second belt I realized timing belt intervals were an opportunity to check and change those things that leave other motorists stranded for lack of maintenance. From that point on I did not mind the service one bit. Your 2uz-fe is a bullet proof motor if properly cared for. I am convinced I could have used it for another 500,000 miles.

For now the centre console remains out. I kinda like that flat space between the seats.
Since this is the second vehicle I’ve ever owned that actually has a coffee holder in the dash!
I’ll not need the other two. I like the bench seat idea, but I like the area space better. I saw
one person build a centre wooden console. Not sure what I’ll do.

Got the passenger side door seal in. I added a pic with my deadblow hammer. The
seal has a solid grip, and can be hard to push on. Could be it’s 4C outside, nice winter day
here, but a bit cold for rubber fittings. The corners are such large radius that can’t jump 8”
    and pound it on,
    Results are nice! 74597DF7-2EB9-47E9-B8F6-BA3E339CE141.jpg

@Rex Kramer - look at that. Seems like a perfect candidate for rear lower levelling kit.
Yup. BTW, it would be my impression that you only removed the rear hangar so the front end of the rear leafs aren’t removed for the kit. Did you replace the bushings or were the originals easy to removed the pin from and reusable? I have no issue reusing them, this isn’t a performance truck. Just a truck.

Big thanks. My springs are good, so will reuse. As you can see, it's high back there. 3.5" might not be enough!! HaHa!
