Don't need to look it up, if you say it it is, it probably is. Didn't know a DC had a longer bed

OP...I suggest you input your weights of your truck and your wouldbe 5th wheel trailer into the above towcalculator web site and see what you get. I am 100% positive that the calculator will tell you that it can not be done with the weights of the Tundra. Trust me, I did the calculations using the lightest and smallest 5th wheel weights and the calculator told me it was not safe. So please, look over the calculator figures and do what is right to keep yourself, your family and everyone else on the road safe.

I purchased a 2005 Sandpiper Sport 26 foot toy hauler. This thing dry weighs more than a modern unit of comparable size does loaded. Bought it from a family friend for near nothing. in hindsight, I should have not gotten such a heavy unit, or should have gotten a bigger truck. I am somewhere around 100-200 pounds over when I am all set up. I ended up getting a Propride hitch to make towing more controlled.

Yeh I got that when someone said the bed was 1' longer on the DC. Learn something new everyday.

How do you like the Propride hitch? It looks super cool but is it work the cost?

I’ve had it over two years and have used it countless times. Can assure you it is worth it. At first I thought all the hype was nonsense and wanted to find out for myself. It surely allows you tow at the upper limits of the Tundra and not feel sway anywhere near as much. Its just an all around well grounded feeling. If you set it you set it up right, the weight distribution is great. I find hitching and unhitching is easier. Another thing is customer service, they respond quickly and don’t bullshit you. I needed a replacement for something I misplaced and it was at my door within a week at no cost to me. Plus the folks will take the time to answer all your questions.

I still have mine after selling my toy hauler. I set it up on my 18ft enclosed trailer because I didn’t want to have it laying around. So if your in the market for one and are close to Grass Valley CA come take a look and I’ll sell it to ya.

Thanks! I don't even own a trailer yet but am looking at a camper at some point and seen an ad for the ProPride and watched as many videos I could find on it afterwards since I couldn't tell if it was a gimmick or actually as amazing as they make it out to be. Havent been able to find a single bad review though. I'm in Mass, but thanks for the offer!

No worries I can send you videos or pictures to help you out just let me know. This thing is pricey for sure. Oh yea a similar one is called the Hensley Hitch. The ProPride is an improved version derived from that. Apparently the guy from ProPride worked with Hensley and then went on his own making ProPride (something along those lines).

How big are you looking. In my case I had 6900lbs dry. By the time I added 100gal of water, food, and gear…I was over payload with no passengers just me.

Honestly probably not that big because its just me and my dogs and I'd like to be able to use it in to boondock in the winter for ski trips. I've only towed a trailer once but it was a friends boat. So I'm just doing all my research now so I know exactly what Im getting into and what I want.
